It was the first in a series of memorials honoring his life. And Floyd’s nephew thanked the nation for its turnout. Among the celebrities were Kevin Hart, Ludacris, T.I., Tyrese Gibson, Tiffany Haddish, Master P and film producer Will Packer. Tyler Perry lent out his private jet to Reverend Al Sharpton so he could travel safely during the pandemic. Perry also provided plane service for Georg Floyd’s family to fly in from Texas. Following the 46-year-old’s tragic death, protests have been happening nationwide as well as in numerous countries around the world to stop police brutality and systemic racism. OUTCUE: grateful. Viral footage shows people vandalizing a P.F. Chang's restaurant at the Fashion Square mall. Paul was also seen walking inside the shopping center as more looting took place. The 23-year-old is being charged with two misdemeanors, criminal trespassing and unlawful assembly. After news broke that he had been charged, Paul tweeted: "Gimme my charges and let’s put the focus back on George Floyd and Black Lives Matter." OUTCUE: right now. She ended her message urging her fellow alumni to be examples in their community and the world. This comes after a 2012 video of the Duchess talking about her experiences with racism resurfaced. The Chicago native also made donations to several black-owned businesses in crisis in his home state and nationwide, amid the ongoing protests and Black Lives Matter movement that resulted after Floyd's fatal arrest. All this comes as he’s named the highest-paid musician in the world, according to Billboard. The 41-year-old New Orleans Saints quarterback gave an interview to Yahoo Finance in which he said he’d never support players kneeling. Fellow athletes were kick to call him out, saying he was missing the point of why they kneel. Taking a knee in protest against the systemic oppression of black people in the United States was started in 2016 by Colin Kaepernick. Brees spoke out in a post on his social media accounts, apologizing for his "insensitive" comments. He said his comments, quote "lacked awareness and any type of compassion or empathy."
