Sir Rod Eddington Chairman I ntroduction Since its inception the Hackett Foundation has sought partnerships in funding for an ongoing portfolio of projects including: endowed chairs to ensure continued academic leadership; research in the sciences and humanities; construction of modern state-of-the art teaching and research facilities; financial aid for students such as undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships, grants, bursaries and prizes; and cultural and sporting facilities. The collective success of the partnerships between the Hackett Foundation and more than 7390 donors (individuals and organizations) are reported in the pages that follow. The inaugural ten Honours scholarships from this program were awarded in 2007 to a recipient in each of the nine Faculties and one in the School of Indigenous Studies. The value of each of these annual scholarships is $6000.
