He later attended Riverdale Country School and then Yale University. While at Yale, he honed his comedic skills by contributing to The Yale Record, a campus humor magazine. Chances are, when you turn on your TV, you’ll hear Phil’s voice! He's been Wednesday, June 7, 2017 working in Hollywood since the 60’s, lending his talents to more movies, TV 11:00 AM shows, commercials, and video games than we could possibly list here. Some of his characters include: the drunken monkey from “Dr. Doolittle”; Dr. Vidic from “Assassin’s Creed”; the Chef in “Spirited Away”; Charlie in “Monsters, Inc.”; Sea Horse Bob in “Finding Nemo”; and Howard in “Rugrats.” Notable among Phil’s many accomplishments is his work with The Firesign Theater, an American comedy troupe he co-founded in the '60s. The troupe is known for their surrealistic stream of consciousness style that weaves together movies, radio, television, political figures, pop culture references, and sound effects. Luckily, many of their recordings are available for a new generation to enjoy. Phil lives in Hollywood with his wife Melinda. His daughter, Kristin, is pursuing her acting career in Los Angeles.
