Previously organized into five academic divisions, the school’s new academic realignment comprises three interdisciplinary departments: Accounting, Information Systems Management and Supply Chain Management Department; Economics and Finance Department; and Marketing and Management Department.

The ESL Program improved student services by streamlining processes for testing, registration and advising process. A new standardized test was introduced to more effectively measure international students’ readiness for academic work.

Renovation projects in Mellon Hall continued over the past year, with updates completed in the Organic Chemistry Teaching lab as well as in research labs in the Departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry and Biological Sciences.

Duquesne University joined the Green Building Alliance District 2030, with a goal of reducing energy by 50 percent by the year 2030. Initial reports indicate the University is under the baseline by 19 percent.
