AAU is building America’s future one athlete at a time. 2 WHERE YOU BEGIN HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH WHERE YOU FINISH. We’ve been raising champions for more than a century. Since 1888, the AAU has set the standard for amateur sports in the United States. ‘Sports For All, Forever’ has been our focus and drive for 126 years and counting. It is more than a motto – it is our vision for sports in the United States and throughout the world. And today we are proud to host more sporting events for more age divisions in more cities than any other organization in the world. However, the AAU is not just about sports. For every athlete who attains professional sports status after the AAU, there are hundreds more who apply their AAU experience elsewhere. What our participants gain is much more valuable than athletic glory, much more important than any athletic achievement. Through participation in AAU sports programs athletes acquire the mental acuity, emotional maturity, and social tools necessary to succeed in the classroom and in the world beyond. Our Membership is good for all of our 35 sports For only $14 for youth athletes, and $16 for non-athletes, you can participate in any or all of our offered sports. Places to Play The AAU believes that our events should be hosted at the best facilities. That is why we are partnered with the ESPN Wide World of Sports the premier multi- sport facility in the USA. Our National Championships take place in fun locations including but not limited to Orlando, FL; Virginia Beach, VA; Philadelphia, PA; Los Angeles, CA; Las Vegas, NV; Cocoa Beach, FL; and New Orleans, LA. High Level of Competition The AAU is proud to have some of the best young athletes in the country competing in all of our 30+ sports. Former AAU athletes are now in the NBA, WNBA, MLB, as well as many Olympians. Events The AAU has many types of events to offer: Local Invitational Tournaments, Leagues, Sports Festivals, District Championships, Super Regionals, Showcase Events, and National Championships. o Whether you want to play close to home, or play across the country, the AAU can make it happen. Insurance Participant Insurance o Your AAU Membership comes with the benefit of secondary sports accident insurance in the event you are injured while competing or participating Practice and Event Insurance o Coverage Limit: $10,000,000 of general liability 4 Getting Started in AAU Sports Go to www.aausports.org and click on JOIN AAU and Create a User Account Purchase your AAU Individual Non Athlete membership‐ All Athletes and Non Athletes (coaches, volunteers, officials) must be individual members of the AAU. Background screens are conducted for all adult members of the AAU. You must have an active Non Athlete or Adult Athlete Membership to purchase a club membership. Applied status or pending memberships are not acceptable. For more information, visit the news story for more information. Non Athlete memberships are $16. For an additional $2, participants can purchase an extended benefit (AB) membership which extends coverage when participating in non‐AAU events. You can have more than one team within the same club. Club membership can be completed instantly online at www.aausports.org click on Member Login. Login to your account, on the dashboard page click on Club Application; then you will see a description and benefits for each club level. Youth club membership fees are $30 (Club Level 1), $60 (Level 2), or $300 (Level 3). Club membership is valid September 1 to August 31. Sign up your club/team/organization’s members! Youth athlete membership is $14 per athlete. Non‐athlete (coach, volunteer, official) membership is $16. A benefit of AAU membership is sports accident and general liability coverage. For an additional $2, participants can purchase an extended benefit (AB) membership which extends coverage when participating in non‐AAU events. All AAU Non‐Athletes will also be required to obtain PCA Double‐Goal Coach® training and certification. The AAU National Office is happy to announce to its members, that this Coaches' Education is FREE for all AAU Non‐Athletes. This exciting program is MANDATORY for all AAU Non‐Athletes and will be administered by Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA). Hosting AAU Tournaments and Leagues – Licensed Event (Event Sanction) As an AAU Club Level 2 or 3, you can apply for a licensed event to host your own tournaments or leagues. Licensed event fees are $50 for a youth event per day maxing out at $350 (Fees Cap after a maximum of 7 days).     Event Operations Internship AAU Junior Olympic Games Operations Intern, AAU Junior Olympic Games The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is a multi-sport youth organization with millions of athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers who participate in 36 sports. The Operations Intern will assist with a variety of projects with the coordination of the AAU Junior Olympic Games. Overview • Duration of Internship is May through mid-August • Intern will work at the AAU National Headquarters located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida near Walt Disney World Resort • Intern must be available to travel to Detroit, Michigan from July 23 to August 2. Travel, housing and per diem are provided during the event. • Internship provides a multitude of event management and operations experience Description • Assist in the daily planning, logistics and operations of the event • Handle requests for entry materials • Process entries for specific sports • Work with National Sport Chairs in conjunction with their specific sport needs and to develop operations plans • Assist with the travel and housing arrangements for all AAU officials and staff • Ordering of all plaques, ribbons, trophies and other awards for each sport • Provide support in the coordination of the Celebration of Athletes (Opening Ceremony) • Onsite logistics, trouble shooting, etc. during the event • Other duties as assigned.

    BYLAWS OF THE WORLD FLYING DISC FEDERATION (a Colorado Nonprofit Corporation, as approved by Congress on 1 January 2019) ARTICLE I - PURPOSES The World Flying Disc Federation (“WFDF”) is organized exclusively for educational purposes and to foster national and international amateur sports competition within the meaning of and pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (or under the corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue law). The activities of WFDF include, but are not limited to, such purposes as: 1. To serve as the international governing body of all flying disc sports, with responsibility for sanctioning world championship and other international flying disc events, establishing uniform rules, and setting standards for and recording of world records; 2. To promote and protect the “spirit of the game” and the principle of “self-officiation" as essential aspects of flying disc sports play; 3. To promote flying disc sports play throughout the world and foster the establishment of new national flying disc sports associations, advising them on all flying disc sports activities and general management; 4. To promote and raise public awareness of and lobby for official recognition of flying disc play as sport; 5. To provide an international forum for discussion of all aspects of flying disc sports play; and 6. Consistent with above principles, to transact any and all other lawful business or businesses for which a corporation may be incorporated pursuant to the Colorado Revised Nonprofit Corporation Act, as it may be amended from time to time. The top 15-17 year old high school players in Virginia will represent four regions of the state in an eight game playoff. College coaches and Major League scouts are invited and attend this annual showcase. Notable tournament alumni include Justin Verlander, David Wright, BJ Upton, Justin Upton, Ryan Zimmerman and others. New this year – the games on Saturday and Sunday will be Live Streamed online for free. The link for viewing is on the All Star Baseball page of our website. Team Rosters for the four regional teams (Central, East, North & West) can be found at: CommonwealthGames.org/sports-listing/baseball-allstar The Tournament kicks off on Friday with a small Opening Ceremonies at 5:45pm, then first pitch of Game 1 (West vs Central) set to take place at 6pm, with Game 2 at around 8:30pm. AAU Swimming is conducted under the AAU Code, AAU Aquatics Handbook and the competitive rules of USA Swimming as modified by the AAU National Aquatics Committee. a. Qualification Procedure. The AAU Swimming National Championships will be held at the AAU Junior Olympic Games. For qualifications, please refer to Appendix B. b. Age Divisions for Swimming National Championships i. 8 and Under Boys and Girls 9-10 Boys and Girls 11-12 Boys and Girls 13-14 Boys and Girls 15-18 Boys and Girls ii. Athlete’s age on the first day of competition shall determine the division of the competitor. iii. At the National Championship, heats for 8 and Under division may be combined with 9-10 division but will be awarded separately. The 8 and Under division is offered for the 50 Meter events and 200 Meter freestyle relays. c. Rules and Restrictions. Additional rules and restrictions as outlined in the AAU Junior Olympic Games Meet Information Packet shall be followed. 4. Other Aquatics Competition Rules.     MASSACHUSETTS EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS WORKPLACE SAFETY and REOPENING STANDARDS FOR BUSINESSES and OTHER ENTITIES PROVIDING YOUTH and ADULT AMATEUR SPORTS ACTIVITIES – Phase III, Step 1 Expansion of Activity Number 1 Amended on August 13, 2020 Effective on August 17, 2020 These safety standards for youth and adult amateur sports activities are posted in advance of the effective date to allow Facility Operators and Activity Organizers time to prepare to operate in compliance with these mandatory health and safety standards. Facility Operators and Activity Organizers may not allow any additional level of play beyond that currently allowed in the Phase III, Step 1 guidance issued July 24, 2020 until August 17, 2020. I. INTRODUCTION In accordance with the authority granted to the Secretary of the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) pursuant to COVID-19 Order No. 43 to issue Sector-Specific Rules to implement COVID-19 safety measures for organized youth and adult amateur sports activities, this Expansion of Activity Number 1 (“Expansion 1”) amends the Phase III, Step 1 guidelines and is effective on August 17 2020. This document provides guidance for how to implement general workplace safety standards and other public health guidance (“COVID-19 measures”) in the context of recreational operations in Phase III, Step 1 of the Commonwealth’s reopening. Facility Operators and Activity Organizers who fail to implement applicable COVID-19 measures may be sanctioned in accordance with COVID-19 Order No. 43. Facility Operators and Activity Organizers are further reminded that in addition to implementing COVID-19 measures in Phase III, Step 1, they must still comply with all federal, state, and local laws.
