Jack Parker is third on the all-time list but leads Hockey East in all-time league wins with 421. Jack Parker is third on the all-time list but leads Hockey East in all-time league wins with 421. Parker’s retirement in the summer of 2013, along side UNH head coach Dick Umile’s retirement in 2018, leaves York as the active leader with 349 league wins heading into the 2017-18 season.     BAUER / BOB KULLEN COACH OF THE YEAR This award is given in the name of the late Bob Kullen, who served as head Coach Of The Year Award History coach of the UNH Wildcats. The award goes to the head coach who is considered to have demonstrated the highest number of significant accomplishments over Season Coach Team the course of the season as voted by the conference’s head coaches. Jerry York 1984-85 Len Ceglarski Boston College returned his Eagles to the Hockey East semifinals for the third straight year and 1985-86 Jack Parker Boston University 24th appearance all-time, the most of any Hockey East program. He coached 1986-87 Bill Riley, Jr. Lowell Boston College to an 18-6-0 record in Hockey East play to lay claim to the Eagles’ 1987-88 Shawn Walsh Maine 16th regular season title and the top seed in the Hockey East Tournament. His team’s 18 wins were the most of any program in league play since York lead the 1988-89 Fern Flaman Northeastern 2011-12 Boston College squad to a 19-7-1 record in league play. The Eagles 1989-90 Shawn Walsh Maine won the NCAA Championship that season. He coached the highest-scoring 1990-91 Dick Umile New Hampshire league offense (3.29 GPG) and the third-best defense in the conference (2.21 1991-92 Jack Parker Boston University GPG). Under his direction, the Eagles operated the third-most efficient penalty 1992-93 Shawn Walsh Maine killing unit in the league, allowing just 14 power-play goals in 98 kills, good for Award Winners Award 1993-94 Bruce Crowder UMass Lowell an 85.7% success rate.
