  • SILVER AGE SENTINELS (D20)
Talking Up Our Products With the weekly influx of new roleplaying titles, it’s almost impossible to keep track of every product in every RPG line in the adventure games industry. To help you organize our titles and to aid customers in finding information about their favorite products, we’ve designed a set of point-of-purchase dividers. These hard-plastic cards are much like the category dividers often used in music stores, but they’re specially designed as a marketing tool for hobby stores. Each card features the name of one of our RPG lines printed prominently at the top, and goes on to give basic information on the mechanics and setting of the game, special features that distinguish it from other RPGs, and the most popular and useful supplements available. The dividers promote the sale of backlist items as well as new products, since they help customers identify the titles they need most and remind buyers to keep them in stock. Our dividers can be placed in many ways. These are just a few of the ideas we’ve come up with: •A divider can be placed inside the front cover or behind the newest release in a line if the book is displayed full-face on a tilted backboard or book prop. Since the cards 1 are 11 /2 inches tall, the line’s title will be visible within or in back of the book. When a customer picks the RPG up to page through it, the informational text is uncovered. The card also works as a restocking reminder when the book sells.

The Silence of the Lambsr The Silence of the Lambsr The Silence of the Lambsr To the memory of my father. If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage hit me, if the dead rise not? Corinthians Need I look upon a death's head in a ring, that have one in my face? John Donne, “Devotions” The Silence of the Lambsr CHAPTER 1 Behavioral Science, the FBI section that deals with serial murder, is on the bottom floor of the Acad?emy building at Quantico, halfburied in the earth. Clarice Starling reached it flushed after a fast walk from Hogan's Alley on the firing range. She had grass in her hair and grass stains on her FBI Academy windbreaker from diving to the ground under fire in an arrest prob?lem on the range. No one was in the outer office, so she fluffed briefly by her reflection in the glass doors. She knew she could look all right without primping. Her hands smelled of gunsmoke, but there was no time to wash--- Section Chief Crawford's summons had said now. She found Jack Crawford alone in the cluttered suite of offices. He was standing at someone else's desk talk?ing on the telephone and she had a chance to look him over for the first time in a year. What she saw disturbed her. Normally, Crawford looked like a fit, middleaged engineer who might have paid his way through college playing baseball--- a crafty catcher, tough when he blocked the plate.

These may have themselves had inspiration from other role-playing games, but I'm just crediting the ones that inspired me. • The 3030 Rifle FAQ the Misc
The 3030 Rifle FAQ The Misc. Survivalism Firearms FAQ Copyright 1998 by Charles Marsh. All rights reserved. Permission required for electronic redistribution or online links. Permission hereby granted for reproduction in electronic or printed form for private noncommercial use. Safety first and always! Start here, if you do not know how to handle a particular gun safely. I would also encourage you to take an NRA sponsored "hands on" safety course--ask about this at ranges and gun shops in your area. The firearms FAQ was a long time in the making. The reason is that there is much disagreement on survival firearms. Any post of a decided opinion was met by hordes of detractors and discussions degenerated into minute debate on the merits of this mechanism or that bullet. It was Alan T. Hagan who first had the idea of laying out the general features and drawbacks of a weapon, without comparisons to other weapons you could use. These comparisons were the sources for much of the tedious debate, and by eliminating them, Alan was able to post firearm information without stirring up a hornet's nest of armchair ballisticians, retired commandos and deer poaching Bubbas. I have followed his lead in preparing the following. This does not mean I am without opinions. My tastes are decidedly 12 gauge, in an all-around firearm. I have tremendous respect for .308 and 6.5x55 precision rifles, and deprecate the pistol as a nice thing to have when you can't carry a gun. If I had to treat a pistol as something to be relied upon, I would prefer a large one.
