RELIANCE PIP DDCA BY 5 WICKETS IN 22ND ALL INDIA J.P. ATRAY MEMORIAL CRICKET TOURNAMENT In the opening match played between Reliance(I) and DDCA at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium Chandigarh, Reliance (I) came out all guns blazing to tame spirited DDCA by 5 wickets. Winning the toss and opting to field, Reliance (I) opened the bowling with International star Jaspreet Bumrah and Rush Kalaria and the duo kept a nagging length and did not allow any liberties to the batsmen. Rush Kalaria struck the first blow when he had opener Rahul caught by wicket keeper Rishab Panth before the batsman could open his account and the team’s total reading 5 for 01. Thereafter Jaideep Chauhan (29) off 34 balls with 4 boundaries and one six and Himmant Singh (16) with 3 boundaries added 40 runs for the 2nd wicket. The stand was broken when Himmant Singh was run out by Yogesh Nagar, Yujuvender Chahal combine. DDCA kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and at one stage were looking down the barrel with 7 wickets down for 93 runs in 28.1 overs. Then Manan Sharma and Shivam Sharma put on 44 runs for the 8th wicket which fell at the total of 137 in 40.2 overs. Bumrah coming back for a second spell polished of the tail to return impressive figures of 10-2-29-2. Shivam Sharma was the highest run getter for DDCA scoring 58 off 65 balls inclusive of 5 boundaries and two sixes. Yujuvender Chahal also bowled a decent spell to capture two wickets for 44 runs.

The above does not amount to selection and/ or shortlisting of any player named herein after. The present camp activity is being held in the interest of Delhi Cricket, only to ensure preparedness for the upcoming tournaments, if any. Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association Annual Report for the year 2018-19 Superb display by the U-16 boys to qualify for the semi final of Vijay Merchant Trophy, our U-14 lads who won the Raj Singh Dungarpur Trophy, and the U-19 team that played quarter final of both the multi-day and the one day tournaments, marked the 2018-19 season for us. This season also witnessed the rise of Avesh Khan as a destructive fast bowler at the first class level. As also, MPCA was once again chosen for hosting elite tournament of BCCI in form of the league and followed by super league & final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 tournament. Ms. Pooja Vastrakar is selected in Indian Women's Cricket Team for First 3 T20Is matches against South Africa Women, which is a befitting reward for her consistent performance during the Women’s T20 Challenger series earlier this year. Mr. Nitin Menon is appointed as 'on-field umpire' by the ICC for the Test between Afghanistan and West Indies to be played in Dehradun from 27th November 2019. He becomes the first umpire from the soil of Madhya Pradesh to act as 'on-field' umpire in a Test match. After his nomination on the International Panel of ICC Umpires, Nitin has officiated several One Day Internationals / T20 Internationals as 'on-field' and 'TV umpire', besides being a regular name for IPL and other BCCI domestic matches. We begin by paying homage to those who left us for heavenly abode in the intervening period, including players, members, administrators, and relatives of our members.
