Thanks also to Trust Board member, Rosemary Harris the end of another year of excellence at Saint Kentigern. for her involvement on the day and patrolling the course with refreshments with long standing committee member, Sandy The SKOCA vs College annual Netball event was held in October Campbell, and her forthright attempts to provide some golfing- and, with some high-scoring players joining the SKOCA team in etiquette directives to those few considered to lack such skills – all the last two years, a tight game was witnessed.     2021 NSW ALL SCHOOLS FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS MONDAY 7th and TUESDAY 8th JUNE 2021 VALENTINE SPORTS PARK MEURANTS LANE, GLENWOOD NSW NSW COMBINED CATHOLIC COLLEGES…NSW COMBINED INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS… NSW COMBINED HIGH SCHOOLS…WESTFIELDS SPORTS HIGH SCHOOL MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE NSWSSFA Welcome to these annual New South Wales Secondary Schools Football Association State Championships. We congratulate all representatives in attendance as they are the finest male and female players from the three education sectors in NSW: Combined Catholic Colleges Combined High Schools Combined Independent Schools These schools’ sectors comprise around one million students in both Primary and Secondary schools, so to gain representation at our NSW All Schools level is indeed an honour and privilege. Whilst at the Open level we acknowledge the winners of the Championships, the aim of this Round-Robin series is to traditionally select our 2021 Open Boys and Girls State Teams and our 16 & Under Boys State Team. However, in 2021 due to COVID restrictions and limitations there will be no further progression following the All Schools Championships and Merit Teams will be announced (Open Boys & Girls only) to recognise the achievements of those outstanding players across the All Schools Championships. Due to the cancellation of the School Sport Australia Championships NSWCHS made a collective decision not to par- take in this years 16 & Under Tri-Series, however the Independent and Catholic Sectors decided to proceed and invited Westfields Sports High Schools to participate as an invitational team. Our Association has some very fine players and also we are fortunate to have dedicated and professional staff across all sectors who continue to support these talented athletes and the tradition of these final State trials.

    KIWI ENGLISH ACADEMY HighHigh SchoolSchool PreparationPreparation Kiwi English Academy has a unique high school preparation program that prepares students for entry into a New Zealand high school. Since our separate high school campus opened in 1995 Kiwi English Academy has sent hundreds of students into high schools all around New Zealand. Programme Features A structured programme that includes General English plus subject-specific study once students have reached a certain level. Long-term students are encouraged to take Cambridge English for Schools test at the end of their programme. NZQA ( New Zealand Qualifications Authority) accredited programme – accredited to teach NCEA (National Certificate in Educational Achievement) unit standards in English, science, maths, accounting, economic theory and practice. Kiwi English Academy is one of the few English language schools in NZ that is accredited to offer these NCEA unit standards and the only school in central Auckland with this capability. Assessment methods linked to those at high school to ensure consistency for students. It’s certainly a time of excitement and interest as VNZ launches the NVL with an online draft format for our top men’s and women’s athletes on Monday April 26th. Coaches are busy reviewing the over 200 athletes that have registered for the draft. With confirmed venues in Auckland (YMCA, Auckland Central) for June 26-27 and Christchurch (Pioneer Stadium) July 10-11, this is a marvellous opportunity for the NZ community to see top volleyball in our own country and I encourage those living close to those centres to support our athletes and the event in person.
