Garlin Gilchrist have made it a priority to meet and speak with MDOC employees. Gov. Whitmer spoke to graduating corrections officers in September, visited with staff at Employee Recreation Day in June and stopped by Central Office with Lt. Gov. Gilchrist in January. Lt. Gov. Gilchrist also visited staff at the Employee Appreciation Banquet in May, Parnall Correctional Facility in October and appeared on the Field Days Podcast.
