Then he co-founded Altyazı Monthly Cinema Magazine, in 2001, and started to work as the magazine’s editor in chief. In addition to Altyazı, he published film reviews in several magazines and newspapers. After completing his masters in Cultural Studies at Bilgi University in 2006, Yücel served as a member of FIPRESCI jury at Istanbul, Rotterdam, Bratislava and Festroia (Setubal) film festivals. Fırat Yücel, a member of SİYAD (Cinema Writers’ Association), is currently studying his doctorate at the Radio-Television and Cinema Department of Istanbul University and continues to work as the editor in chief of Altyazi, which is now published by Boğaziçi University Mithat Alam Film Center. През 2001 г. съосновава месечното киносписание „Алтиязъ“, ставайки негов главен редактор. Освен в „Алтиязъ“ публикува филмови ревюта в няколко списания и вестници. След като през 2006 г. получава магистърска степен по “Културни изследвания” в университета Билги, Фират е член на журито на ФИПРЕССИ на филмовите фестивали в Истанбул, Ротердам, Братислава и Сетубал. -
