Though Djokovic leads the FedEx ATP Head 2 Head 24-11, Murray is 8-10 in finals and won their last match on November 20 to capture the ATP Finals title and clinch the year-end No. 1 ranking. Born one week apart in May 1987, Murray and Djokovic have met in all four Grand Slam finals and at the ATP Finals, Olympics and all nine ATP World Tour Masters 1000 events (including Montréal and Toronto). However, they have never played at an ATP World Tour 250 event. Djokovic is 19-8 against Murray on hard courts, but lost their lone meeting in the Middle East at 2012 Dubai. Murray is 0-19 when he loses the first set against Djokovic. On the other hand, Djokovic has posted five wins over Murray from a set down, including the 2016 Roland Garros final that completed his career Grand Slam. Djokovic and Murray have split 16 tiebreakers in their rivalry. Murray enters Saturday’s final on a career-best 28-match win streak, 15 shy of Djokovic’s longest unbeaten run.
