X Bielema is the third-youngest head coach in NCAA Bowl Subdivision football.

X In 2006 Bielema became just the third rookie head coach in NCAA Division IA history to guide his team to 12 victories. The 12 wins also were a Wisconsin record.

X Bielema was named 2006 Big Ten Coach of the Year and was one of fi ve fi nalists for the Bear Bryant National Coach of the Year Award. He also was a fi nalist for the 2006 Schutt Sports Division IA Coach of the Year Award.

X Wisconsin is 40-11 (.784) since Bielema arrived in Madison as defensive coordinator in 2004. He served in that role for two years before taking over as head coach in 2006.

X Teams for which Bielema has coached since the start of the 2002 season have accumulated a combined 61-18 (.772) record.
