Guest Information (2021) 2 Lottisement Roc Coumbach, Durban Corbieres, 11360 Arrival/Departure On arrival you will be met at the property by our property managers Dave or Jeanne who will provide you with a brief overview of how things work in the Villa. At the end of your stay they will collect the keys from you and will undertake a check of the property and its contents. Please confirm your arrival/departure time to us at time of booking (on the attached Booking Form) in order that we can arrange for the Dave or Jeanne to meet you. They are also available should you experience any problems whilst staying at the property or need urgent assistance. On the day of arrival if you think you will be earlier or later than planned, please call Jeanne and Dave to let them know. To allow sufficient time for change over, arrivals should be after 4pm and departures before 10am. However, it may be possible to vary this by agreement with the Owners, provided that this does not interfere with other bookings. If you are arriving on a Saturday we recommend that you head to the local shop when you arrive as most shops are closed on a Sunday. The local supermarket has been known to open on a Sunday in the summer but this does vary. Location (Car hire essential) The property address is 2 Lotissement Roc Coumbach, Durban Corbieres, 11360. As you arrive in centre of Durban Corbieres, you will pass a Petrol Station on your left and then the road sweeps around to the left. Just after this left turn you will see a bridge on your right hand side. Cross the bridge and go around the small roundabout system passing the rugby pitch on your right. Continue up the hill and take the first right turn. The property is located approximately 100m up on the right hand side. Directions From Perpignan Head to the E15(A9) Autoroute North towards Montpellier/Narbonne. This is a toll road. Credit cards are accepted in the automatic paying section – marked ‘Carte’. Turn off the Autoroute at junction 39 for Sigean. Then once through the toll turn left towards Portel Des Corbieres on the D3. Carry on through Portel Des Corbieres which leads to the D611a where it will be signed to Durban Corbieres. Finally, carry on the D611a until you reach the D611 which is where the road forks off to the left towards Durban Corbieres. When you have reached the village of Durban Corbieres you will need to follow the directions above. Directions From Carcassonne Head onto the E80(A61) Autoroute towards Barcelona/Narbonne. This is a toll road. Credit cards are accepted in the automatic paying section – marked ‘Carte’. Exit the Autoroute at junction 25 for Lezignan Corbieres. Then take the second exit on the roundabout onto the D611 heading towards Thezan. After 1.5 miles bear left onto the D106 again heading for Thezan. Then after 4 miles take the left turn to the D611. Follow the signs then for Durban Corbieres. When you have reached the village of Durban Corbieres you will need to turn right onto the D40 and follow the directions above. Pool The swimming pool is cleaned weekly by Dave, usually on a Friday morning. If there are any problems, please let us know. Under French Regulations the pool needs to be covered over when the property is unoccupied, so please fix the cover back onto the pool when not in use. If you are having difficulty with this please speak to Dave and Jeanne who will be happy to advice. There is also a safety fence between the property and the pool with a self-closing gate. This should be kept closed at all times. The pool is 1.8m deep and no diving is allowed. Children MUST be supervised at all times while in the outside area. Bins Bins are located on your left as you exit the property approximately 30m away. You will find both general waste bins together with recycling bins for glass bottles, plastic bottles, cans, paper and cardboard boxes. We encourage our guests to be responsible with their waste and recycle during their stay. Heating and Hot Water There are electrical heaters throughout the Villa which can be controlled by the dial on top of each one. The hot water is provided by the hot water cylinder which automatically heats water using off peak electricity. Should you find that you have used a lot of hot water and are running out you can switch the heater on at the distribution board located in the garage. To operate the hot water over-ride, switch the lever on the front of the switch to the on position or number “1”. The water may take a while to warm up. Once warm please switch back to 'auto' otherwise the water will be continuously heated. Television We have access to a number of BBC, ITV channels and terrestrial channels from the UK plus some of the free to air channels available through Sky. There is also a DVD Player with a number of DVD’s for your use. Instructions for the above can be found in the property manual. Internet Internet is available for the use of our guests. Details on how to connect to the Villa’s internet can be found in the property manual. Kitchen/Laundry Equipment Hopefully, all of the equipment should be easy to use. However Instruction manuals are located in the drawers of the French Dresser. All appliances can be found in the kitchen with the exception of the washing machine which is located in the garage. General Equipment Kitchen cutlery, crockery, utensils, etc., are provided for 6 people. A small ironing board and iron can be found in the tall kitchen unit together with a high chair. A hair dryer is provided in the bathroom cabinet. Linen/Towels Linen is provided for our guests and will be changed at the end of your stay. If you require fresh laundry during your stay there is a washing machine located in the garage or please ask Dave and Jeanne who will provide a fresh set for a small charge. Towels are also provided. White Towels are for internal used only and coloured towels are for use around the pool. We ask that our towels remain at the property and that you provide your own towels for days at the beach. Smoking Please note that smoking is not permitted inside the villa. Village There is a supermarket, petrol station, cash point, boulangerie and a tabac located in the village which should cater for day to day needs. There is a larger supermarket in Sigean as well as a number of large supermarkets in Narbonne. There is also small friendly Bar / Restaurant in the village, called Chez Prano which is well worth a visit. Our property manual provides an up to date list of Restaurants in the surrounding villages. Accessibility/Young Children The Villa internally is all on one level with just a couple of steps to enter the property at the front and back. It is however unsuitable for wheelchair access. A Cot is available but please ensure that we are made aware if this is required ahead of your arrival. We want your stay to be a safe one and ask that children are supervised at all times when outside especially when the pool is open.. Beaches - There are many to choose from. We particularly like Leucate Plage. Useful websites www.creme-de-languedoc.com Rules and Regulations 1. Parking Off street parking is available to the front of the property. 2. Noise The property is located in the heart of the village with properties located either side. Please observe a quiet period between the hours of 11.00pm and 8.00am. TV’s, stereos, radios etc should not be audible outside the villas at any time. 3. Rubbish Recycle where possible using the village bins. The Bins are coloured for the following uses, Brown – General rubbish and food waste Green – Glass Bottles (All Colours) Blue – Paper and Cardboard (Separate Bins for each) Yellow – Plastic Bottles and Cans Booking terms and conditions In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions shall bear the following meanings: • the "Villa" shall mean the villa to be booked by the Guest, details of which are presented on the Site; • the "Balance" shall in the case of the Deposit being paid mean the remaining 75% of the Total Booking Cost; • the “Owners” shall mean Mr and Mrs D Taylor, Coulsdon, Surrey. • the "Contents" shall mean the contents of the Villa including without limitation the furniture, furnishings, fittings and equipment in and the Villa, including those located within the outside area of the Villa; • the "Deposit" shall mean a deposit of 25% of the Total Booking Cost; • the "Guest" shall mean the person(s) booking the Villa, precise details of whom have been provided to the Owners; • the "Site" shall mean the website www.ownersdirect.co.uk; • the "Stay" shall mean the number of nights in the Villa to be booked by the Guest; • the "Total Booking Cost" shall mean the total amount payable for the Villa for the Stay as set out on the Site or as separately agreed; This booking is made subject to the following terms and conditions: 1.
