2019 SUPPORT FOR ORGANIZATION’S PANELIST
During the Panel Review, 19 arts and culture experts evaluated the applications for the 2019 Support for Organizations (SO) I and II grant program. Nine panelists served two days for the SOI program, and ten for two days for SOII.
Houston Arts Alliance assembled these arts and cultural experts based on diversity in their identity, knowledge, artistic expertise, and community involvement to capture the breadth and depth of perspectives appropriate for our diverse Houston community. The panel had expertise in craft, dance, visual arts, theatre, multidisciplinary arts, literary, music, film, museums, and architecture and preservation. It featured expertise in management skills, including event planning, marketing and tourism, executive leadership, social practice arts, panel experience, grants administration, community organization, financial management, and program management.
Panelists also represented various identities and communities of Houston. It included African America, Latinx, non-Hispanic White, multi-racial, South Asian, and East Asian.
