The properties offer independence with varying degrees of support. You can choose whether or not to take advantage of these services, however many people enjoy the additional security that they offer. Each block has a scheme manager who contacts the residents depending on their support needs. The scheme managers liaise with social services and other agencies as necessary to make sure that residents are able to live independently. Many schemes have communal facilities such as a lounge, and a laundry service. When the scheme manager is off duty all flats are linked to a 24-hour emergency alarm system. Extra care housing is suited to residents who require a care package between two and four visits a day. You still have your own self-contained flat, with a scheme manager on site. The extra care comes from a specially trained team of home carers who are on site daily. Available properties are advertised each week on the home connections website – www.homeconnections.org.uk and in local estate offices and libraries. You need to register for the scheme first and will be allocated points. You can then bid for properties - the person with the most points will be offered the property. If you are interested in a particular scheme and would like to see what it has to offer, you can request an appointment with the scheme manager. Please remember that property viewings and offers of accommodation are made by Housing Options. 1 5 Queensborough Terrace 5 Queensborough Terrace, London W2 3TA Landlord: Westminster City Council (CityWest Homes) Local office: Bayswater Accommodation . 11 studio flats . 9 one bedroom flats .
