Auto Flasher Install Superduty 2020-2021 Amber Forward Mirror Thanks for purchasing an Auto Flasher kit to flash your OEM LED lights! This kit is designed for OEM equipped LED vehicle lights, if you have incandescent bulbs STOP HERE this kit will not have correct wire locations or colors. Please DO NOT USE BATTERY PACKS to try and test or function this product on the vehicle as the ground is not shared and function will NOT work on battery packs. Our PREFERRED testing tool is called a POWER PROBE (CLICK HERE) and can be purchased on our website along with our favorite crimpers the CHANNEL LOCK 909 (CLICK HERE) and of course our HEAT SHRINK (CLICK HERE) as well for waterproofing all connections. The basic WAF module functions are covered in the PDF manual HERE. This will go over what the power/control wires do and how the input/outputs are set up. WAF mounts under the steering wheel. Route WAF-2 to the drivers kick panel area, WAF-1 to passenger kick panel area, then carry 18-5 to customer supplied toggle switch. Switch is not provided in this kit. Once in the kick panel areas, you will be exposing the parking light wire for each amber led on each mirror. These wires are blue with grey trace and can be very tricky to locate and isolate the correct one for the mirror led. I suggest having parking lights ON when testing and visually verify that when you clip the small blue-grey wire that the mirror light goes out ONLY. That step is VERY important to verify you indeed have the right wire. Once you cut the wire, the wire heading towards the front of the truck on both sides is connected to the corresponding OUTPUTS of the flasher. The remaining wire that heads towards the rear of the truck is connected to the corresponding INPUTS of the flasher. You can tap the 12v cigar outlet on the dash easily behind the glove box for power and ground for the switch if needed or pass 18-5 through the firewall to the OEM AUX switches if equipped. Passing the wire through the firewall is usually easiest through the factory rubber boot surrounding the factory wires to the upper left of the brake pedal.
