Handicaps: Maximum Handicap Limit Men GA 27.0 & Women GA 36.0 3. Ties: will be decided by countback. 4. Rules of Play: The Rules of Golf, as adopted by R & A Rules Limited, will apply together with Local Rules of the venue Club. 5. Measuring Devices: A player may obtain distance only information by use of a distance- measuring device under rule 4.3a. 6. Category: Combined Men's and Women's Event 7. Motorised Transport: Please note Golf Carts are available for hire, however a medical certificate is required. For bookings please call RAGC Pro-Shop on 8356 8508. Please note Royal Adelaide is a course not designed for cart use, any player who hires a cart must use them as per the instructions on the cart. 8. Cancellations & Booking Enquiries: Any bookings cancelled before 9am Wednesday 6 January 2021 will have their money refunded. Any cancellations after this time will forfeit their entry fee. Cancellations to be made by emailing [email protected] Due to the Christmas holiday period refunds requested between 18 Dec and 6 Jan may not be processed until after the event. 9. Pace of Play: Players are requested to be mindful of their pace of play throughout their rounds. A Royal Murder A Rebecca Keith Mystery � Sandra Winter-Dewhirst The Open Rebecca he early morning light bathed the tall grass that lined the Teighteenth hole. Rebecca stopped the car on the entrance road, just before it crossed the fairway. She wound down the window. A slight sea breeze caressed her face, and the pungent blend of salt and seaweed wafted into the car. The day was already warm. The temperature was forecast to reach thirty- eight degrees Celsius by mid-afternoon. It was going to be a hot day for golf. Rebecca smiled to herself at the quirkiness of the prestigious Royal Adelaide Golf Club having an access road that crossed a fairway, as well as a passenger-train line that dissected the first and second holes and ran behind the thirteenth. There were no fences, boom gates, or barriers within the course to separate the train track from the golfers. She glanced over to her right, beyond the clubhouse, to the mound that supported the Adelaide-to-Grange railway line. ‘Only in Adelaide,’ she said quietly to herself. ‘It’s a wonder no one has been killed.’ As Rebecca drove the winding road to the car park, she saw festive bunting lining the verandah of the low-slung bungalow clubhouse. A group of golfers putted on the practice green immediately in front. Others were sitting on wicker chairs scattered along the deep verandah, and more were milling about 1 in an adjacent marquee. While Rebecca was excited about the day ahead, she also felt a tinge of anxiety but couldn’t put her finger on why.

It is designed to act as a guide to the many act which are sponsored by the Board and to indicate to students the ways in which they can take the fullest advantage of their years at the University by playing their part in its communal life. A University exists for purposes wider than those of merely vocational training, important though these are. It exists for the production of men and women who, in addition to a thorough mastery of the technique of their chosen calling, have an attitude towards life which will make them citizens better than the average. That the State recognizes this is clear from the fact that it contributes each year about one-third of the University income, and that every student, whilst at the University, is, to a greater or lesser extent, supported by the State. It is, therefore, the duty of all students to recognize that they are privileged people and to qualify themselves for heightened responsibility as members of the community which is helping to pay for their education. This cannot be done by exclusive devotion to a narrow and specialized way of life— the life of the lecture room and the laboratory nor can it be done by using the University as a playground. I urge you to aim at a balanced life, compounded of a mixture of academic training, physical activity and participation in the life of the Union and the Clubs and Societies that centre round it.
