Because when Elizabeth meets Darcy he is surprisingly polite, and we begin to see him in a positive light. CHAPTER 44 73. Darcy continues to be polite. Why might this be? How can you best describe Mr Bennet’s emotion in this chapter? He is very angry. 85. What does Mr Bennet concede to allow? The visit of the newly-wed Lydia to Wickham.
