GOSDEN 6 2 0 +1.50 RACE AS A POINTER TO ROYAL ASCOT Quite a few different Royal Ascot race winners have come out of the Feilden Stakes but it seems to be the Tercentenary Stakes that is the most obvious target for the runners going on to the big June meeting.... 2018 winner Mildenberger wasn't seen out after finishing runner up in the Dante on his next start but the beaten favourite , who finished third here, won the Queens Vase at Royal Ascot at 100/30. Arbalet finished second last here but ran 5th in the at 100/1. The 2017 winner Khalidi was runner up in the King Edward VII Stakes at 10/1. In 2016 all 4 runners in the race swerved the Royal meeting. The 2015 winner went on to take the Derby but the runner up Peacock, third California Disegno and 6th Mustadeem all went to Royal Ascot for the Group 3 Tercentenary Stakes where they finished 2nd, 4th and 3rd respectively. The 2012 winner Stipulate was runner up in that years Tercentenary Stakes, runner up Mister Music went on to finish second in the Britannia Handicap at 50/1 and third home Producer was 5th in the Jersey Stakes. The 2011 4th Specific Gravity was 4th in that Season's Tercentenary Stakes at 50/1. The favourite could only manage 4th in 2010 but went on to win the mile fillies handicap at Royal Ascot later that year. The 7th that year Gallic Star was a decent third in the Ribblesdale at 16/1. The experienced 2008 winner Campanoligist went on to win that Season's King Edward VII Stakes at 9/1. In 2007 the fourth home Al Shemali ran second in that years Listed 10f (now Tercentenary Stakes). FAHEY 4 2 1 +15.50 RACE AS A POINTER TO ROYAL ASCOT While the Nell Gwyn isn't a great trial for the 1000 Guineas it has proved an extremely reliable pointer towards Royal Ascot with both the and Mile Fillies Handicap being targeted very successfully over the last decade... The 2018 4th home won the 1000 Guineas on her next start but could only finish 4th in that years Coronation Stakes. Threading ran 7th and 2nd in the same two races. The beaten favourite in 2017 could only manage 7th here but went on to finish second in that years Coronation Stakes at 12/1. Nathra won a poor Nell Gwyn renewal in 2016 and, although well fancied, could only manage 9th in that years Coronation Stakes. The 2015 winner Osaila went on to win the mile handicap for 3yo fillies at that Season's Royal Ascot at 13/2. In 2014 Sandiva beat Euro Charline but when they re-opposed in that years Group 1 Coronation Stakes Sandiva could only manage 5th but Euro Charline was 3rd at 16/1. The fifth home Queen Catrine was runner up in the 3yo fillies mile handicap at 14/1. The 7th home Jacqueline Quest won the 1000 Guineas but was subsequently disqualified but went on to finish third in the Coronation Stakes. In 2009 the third home First City ran 5th in the Fillies Mile Handicap at 66/1 and in 2008 the winner Infallible went on to finish runner up in the Coronation Stakes.
