For days be- fore, the site had been deco- rated with heraldic flags lining the tree canopy, and the grass cut – No carriages were required as guests but not quite in chequers! could walk the short distance from their family home to the venue. The forecast was sure – sunshine from 7.00am. And so under an incredible blue sky we were ready for the 'Big (pre) Royal Wedding Breakfast' bacon rolls, pecan pastries, red white and blue fruit salad, breakfast muffins, fruit flapjacks, indul- gent chocolate cake and a wonderful Union Flag decorated sponge, all wash- ed down with lashings of tea and coffee.     LANREATH PARISH COUNCIL Minutes of Parish Council Meeting held on 16th October 2018 Present: Mr R Pugh – Chair (County Councillor), Mr P Seaman, Mrs E Lee, Miss J Tamblyn, Mr J Williams, Miss S Cave, Mrs R Karensa, Mr D Pugh, Mr P Bartram, Mr P Meatyard, PCSO Cocks, Mrs L Rigler (Clerk) The Chair welcomed everyone to the Parish Council Meeting. 1. Apologies None. 2. Public Participation Attending members of the public were welcomed to the meeting. Police – PCSO Cocks reported that from 1st to 30th September there had been no crime within the parish. He advised that parishioners remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Numerous patrols have been conducted around the Parish and all was found to be in order. Shop – Mrs S Rawlins reported that the hot water has been restored. Thanks to the Parish Council for addressing this. Village Hall – Mrs S Rawlins reported that the recent car boot sale had raised £310 towards the extension. It is intended to donate £40 to the Air Ambulance. Fundraising will now stop until the New Year. Over £1000 has been raised with just two fund raising events. Potholes – Mrs Rawlins reported that, as a regular cyclist, there are shallow potholes along the B3359 where it should be safe for cyclists to ride. 3. Minutes of meeting held on 18th September 2018 Mr P Seaman proposed that the minutes be accepted. This was seconded by Miss S Cave. The Chair signed the minutes. 4. Matters Arising Maintenance work around the village / Gardening Club – it was reported that this is progressing well with regular meetings.

HALL Department of Geology, Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, Egham, Surrey TW20 OEX, UK Abstract: The ammonium contents of granites, pegmatites and hydrothermally altered rocks from SW England have been measured. Ammonium levels in the granites are generally high compared with those from other regions, averaging 36ppm,and they differ markedlybetween intrusions. The pegmatites show higherammonium contents than any other igneous rocks which have yet been investigated. Ammonium contents are strongly enriched in the hydrothermally altered rocks, includ- ing greisens and kaolinized granites. There is agood correlation between the average ammonium content of the intrusions in SW England and their initial "Sr/*'Sr ratios and peraluminosity. This relationship supports the hypothesis that the ammonium in the granites is derived from a sedimentary source, either in the magmatic source region or via contamination of the magma.
