As part of the sales contract with Oracle, what products you can install and use and how you use them is part of the licensing agreement. That agreement contains information related to your overall PeopleSoft application license. This document contains licensing notes and reminders intended more for product implementation teams to help determine if additional products need to be licensed to achieve the ultimate goals of the PeopleSoft system.
Note. Where third party products are discussed, in most cases no specific version number is mentioned, as these can change due to product updates outside the release cycle. You should always consult the Product Certifications area on My Oracle Support to determine what product versions are supported with your version of PeopleTools.

The following table contains licensing notes and reminders per product in alphabetical order.
Product Sub Product Licensing Description
All License Codes PeopleSoft Enterprise installs all products with your PeopleTools and application installation. Activate the products you have purchased after you create the database, install the application server, and install PeopleSoft Internet Architecture. 1. Log in to PeopleSoft. 2. From the Products tab, select Set Up xxx (where xxx is your application), Install, Installation Table. 3. De-select the products for which you have not obtained a license. Deselecting the products from the Installation Table does not automatically remove access by your users of these applications. The license code used when you installed is the generic license code that allows access to all modules. There are two ways that you can remove access to unlicensed product pages: • Create new permission lists and roles that only allow access to certain pages. Works well for sites with a relatively small user base • Deactivate the pages in the portal navigation, by selecting Portal Structure and Content and remove the products from the navigation. If the pages are inactive then only PeopleSoft or Portal administrator roles will have access. Woks well for customers only needing to inactivate a small number of pages and they know the pages to inactivate. Select the option that best suits your site or requires less work. Application Oracle Tuxedo The Oracle Tuxedo license included with PeopleTools is a restricted use Server license that may only be used to run PeopleSoft Enterprise applications. The use of this Tuxedo license outside of the scope of PeopleSoft Enterprise Applications is not permitted. COBOL Micro Focus Micro Focus COBOL is an additional product that is required by some COBOL PeopleSoft Enterprise applications. The license must be purchased separately. Crystal Crystal Enterprise Required License Agreement: Licensing Crystal Enterprise for Reports PeopleSoft Enterprise entitles you to five Concurrent Access Licenses (CALs). If your license was signed and executed before December 2004, you must execute and return a signed copy of the Crystal Schedule to take advantage of this product. The Crystal Schedule, along with instructions on where to send the completed Schedule, is available on My Oracle Support. See document 887899.1. To purchase additional CALs, contact your account executive and follow the standard process for licensing new products.

If you are a PeopleSoft Enterprise customer, and you have licensed additional CALs for Crystal Enterprise, you can enable them by sending a request for codes to [email protected]. Include your Company Name, Customer Number, and CSI Number (if available), the PeopleSoft Enterprise product you are requesting the code for, and the number of additional licenses you have purchased.
Note. License keys are not required if you are using the free products. They are required only if you are purchasing additional licenses.
Crystal Language Support Crystal Reports is available in several different language editions. You Reports receive the appropriate language edition of Crystal Reports based on the languages that you license when you purchase Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise software. Each language version of Crystal Reports is functionally identical; the primary difference is the language of the Crystal Reports Designer user interface. Cube Cognos Cognos PowerPlay, if licensed, may be used with PeopleSoft Cube Manager Manager. Cube Essbase Essbase is shipped separately from PeopleTools (there are separate Manager licensing components for the integration and the end-user product). Integration Oracle BEPL • Oracle BPEL Process Manager is a standards-based process Broker Process Manager orchestration and integration solution that provides the foundation for developing and deploying a services-oriented and web service- enabled integrations. The Oracle BPEL Process Manager provides native support for BPEL 1.1 in combination with broad web service standard support to ensure interoperability with other BPEL and Web Service compliant solutions. • The Oracle BPEL Process Manager Developer Edition provides restricted design time use. Runtime use requires purchase of BPEL Process Manager. It is recommended that you check your Oracle PeopleSoft license agreements to see if you are licensed to use Oracle BPEL Process Manager for runtime purposes. If you are licensed to use this product, you may download it from the Oracle web site.
Note. PeopleSoft Integration Broker includes all necessary components for XML mapping/XSL transformation. You are not required to be licensed for BPEL runtime use in order to utilize this functionality.

Oracle BPEL Process Manager Quick Start Guide Oracle BPEL Process Manager Developer's Guide Integration Oracle Enterprise Oracle ESB moves data among multiple endpoints, both within and outside Broker Service Bus (ESB) of an enterprise. It uses open standards to connect, transform, and route XML documents among disparate applications. Enterprise service bus infrastructure is used for delivering service-oriented architecture (SOA). PeopleTools supports Oracle ESB. Design time requires JDeveloper. The runtime for ESB requires the Oracle SOA suite. It is recommended to make sure you are licensed to use Oracle SOA Suite. Integration Oracle XSL Mapper Your PeopleTools license grants you a design-time use license of the Broker Oracle XSL Mapper. This tool provides the ability to rapidly create XSL- based transformation maps to support integration of PeopleSoft to third- party applications deployed through Integration Broker. MultiChannel PeopleSoft CTI If you are using a Cisco CTI system with the PeopleSoft CTI Java applet Framework console, the assumption is that you already have a functioning and appropriately licensed Cisco system configured at your site. The Cisco Java API is shipped as part of the CTI applet; however, no other Cisco products are shipped with the PeopleSoft system. If you use Cisco CTI, you need a Cisco ICM Central Controller Server installed and configured before you begin installing your PeopleSoft CTI system. Your PeopleSoft application may require an IVR supported by Cisco and capable of passing call data to Cisco. This enables CTI components to attach data to incoming calls.

For detailed information about specific PeopleSoft-supported versions, refer to My Oracle Support in the certifications area. Oracle Transparent PeopleTools supports and provides integration with Oracle Transparent Database Database Database Encryption (TDE) technology. Server Encryption (TDE) TDE is a separately licensed product. TDE is bundled with Oracle Advanced Security Options (ASO). PeopleCode BPEL Classes • Your PeopleTools license grants you a design time use license of the Oracle BPEL Process Manager for OC4J. The Oracle BPEL Process Manager is a standards based process orchestration and integration solution that provides the foundation for developing and deploying a service oriented and web service enabled integrations. The Oracle BPEL Process Manager provides native support for BPEL 1.1 in combination with broad web service standard support to ensure interoperability with other BPEL and Web Service compliant solutions. • The Oracle BPEL Process Manager Developer Edition provides restricted design time use. Runtime use requires purchase of BPEL Process Manager. PeopleCode Verity A subset of features in Autonomy product Verity VDK is bundled and included free of cost. It is used by PeopleSoft Enterprise to implement free text search functionality. No license is granted to use it for any other purpose. To spider HTTPS links while building a search collection, a separate license needs to be obtained directly from Autonomy. Performance PPMI API Using web service technology, performance data that is generated by the Monitor Performance Monitor can be shared with third-party performance- monitoring tools by way of the Performance Monitor Integration (PPMI) API. The PPMI API uses the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP). The PPMI API protocol is not documented in PeopleBooks. It is used only in products that are developed by PeopleSoft system and performance management integration partners. You can use the PPMI API only if you

Portal Base Portal As a licensee of PeopleTools, you are authorized to use the following Technology functions included within the base portal technology: • Create pagelets and customize the homepage • Use the PeopleSoft Pagelet Wizard to create pagelets and publish them as WSRP portlets. • Publish PeopleSoft component, iScript and generic URL data as WSRP portlets. • Consume WSRP or JSR168 content from non-PeopleSoft applications or web sites if licensed by the third-party to do so. Collaborative Workspaces
With a PeopleTools 8.50 license, you are able to install and configure a PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal database to host collaborative services to be integrated with your PeopleSoft applications. Within the PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal you may use Collaborative Workspaces and any functionality that is delivered out of the box within a Collaborative Workspace. Specifically, this entitles you to use: • Thirteen workspace modules and associated pagelets: Wiki Content, Welcome, Discussions, Documents, Blogs, Links, Action Item Lists, Calendar, Members, Related Data, Polls, Browse Workspaces, Administration. • Workspace branding. • Workspace content as feeds. • Workspace search. • Workspace tagging. • Integration with external email and calendar systems through delivered pagelets. • Related links from and to PeopleSoft application pages and components. • Related discussions from PeopleSoft application pages and components. • Resource Finder within a workspace. • Task and worklist integration through delivered pagelets. If you wish to use any of these features outside of collaborative workspaces or if you wish to use any other PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal features that are not part of collaborative workspaces, you must purchase a license

Related Content Services
The PeopleTools Related Content Framework is delivered with PeopleTools 8.50. In addition, with a PeopleTools 8.50 license, you are able to use the following three PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal related content services delivered in PeopleTools 8.50: • Related Discussion service • Related Links service • Related Tags service You must install and configure a PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal database to host the data for these services. However, a separate PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal license is not required to use these related content services as described above. Portal PeopleSoft PeopleSoft Application License Only - When you license an application Application License from PeopleSoft, you can use the standards-compliant portal functionality Only included in PeopleTools to perform the following functions without requiring the purchase of any additional license: • Use the portal registry and basic portal functionality to navigate to applications and search for applications within a product line database. • Create new pagelets based upon the licensed applications within that application database. Portal PeopleSoft PeopleSoft Application Portal Packs - You can easily extend an Application Portal Application Portal Pack by creating additional pagelets and navigation Packs pages using PeopleTools’ included portal capabilities. REN Server AOLServer PeopleTools licensing abides by the AOLServer Public License, which you can view at http://www.aolserver.com/license/. Rich Text CKeditor The CKeditor included with PeopleTools is licensed under Apache 2.0. You Editor may obtain a copy of the License at http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0. Security PGP Algorithms • The PGP® secure messaging algorithms are available when you license the PGP encryption library from PGP Corporation, compile the glue code, and load the library into the PET database. • Use of the PGP® encryption functionality accessible through the PeopleTools PGP® plug-in requires a specific license grant from PGP Corporation. platform. Web Server IBM WebSphere Included with PeopleTools is a copy of IBM WebSphere Application Server. A restricted-use license to use this product is granted with PeopleTools at no additional cost for customers who have purchased PeopleSoft Enterprise applications prior to September 1, 2010. You may only use Websphere in conjunction with PeopleSoft Enterprise programs you have licensed. In addition to the terms set forth in the standard Oracle License and Service Agreement, the use of the IBM WebSphere Application server shall be subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the “README” and “LICENSE.TXT” files included with the WebSphere program, as those terms may change from time to time. Customers that have purchased a PeopleSoft product prior to September 1, 2010 may use their existing WebSphere license with any new PeopleSoft application modules that will be deployed within their existing licensed PeopleSoft application environments. However, customers may not use their existing WebSphere license with any new PeopleSoft applications purchased after September 1, 2010. Customers that have purchased PeopleSoft products on or after September 1, 2010 and wish to use IBM WebSphere Application Server as their web server option must contact IBM directly in order to secure the appropriate licensing rights. Web Server Oracle WebLogic Restricted Use: Oracle WebLogic Server Enterprise Edition is supplied with Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools and some Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise applications for use in the PeopleSoft products. As an Oracle PeopleSoft customer, you are granted a restricted use license of Oracle WebLogic Server Enterprise Edition to run PeopleTools or the applicable applications at no additional cost.
Note. The provided license does not grant rights to use Oracle Weblogic Server for development of, or execution of applications not delivered as part of PeopleSoft Enterprise.
