Tih nekoliko latica i prašnika, priroda vješto oblikuje na bezbroj načina i time nam pruža veliko zadovoljstvo. ). Slika. Dalia (Dahlia) Slika. Božićna zvijezda (Euphorbia plucherrima) (foto Parađiković N.) Švedski botaničar osamnaestog stoljeća, Carla Linneausa (1707-1778.) je utemeljio binominalni sustav. U djelima Geneva plantarum i Species plantarum, Linnaeus je razvrstao svaku biljku koristeći dvije riječi u latinskom jeziku. Prva riječ bila je naziv roda (npr. Ilex), a druga pridjev (npr. aquifolium). (Coombes, A., 2006.). Slika. Carl Linneausa (1707-1778.) Slika. Srasti međusobno mogu i lapovi. Pododjeljak Magnoliophytina, kritosjemenjače, dijelimo u 2 razreda 1 - Magnoliatae - dvosupnice 2 - Liliatae – jednosupnice Svaki se razred dijeli u podrazrede, ovi u nadredove, nadredovi u redove, a ovi u porodice. Magnoliaceae, Ranunculaceae, Papaveraceae, Rosaceae, Fabacea, Rutaceae, Rhamnaceae, Apiaceae, Brassicaceae, Malvaceae, Primulaceae, Caprifoliaceae, Asteraceae, Lamiaceae, Apocynaceae,Valerianaceae, Boraginaceae, Scrophulariaceae, Caryophyllaceae. Liliatae, jednosupnice U biljaka ovog razreda postoji jedna supka. Liliaceae, Iridaceae, Poaceae, Orchidaceae. Literatura: Sambamurty, A. V. S. S (2005): Taxonomy of Angiosperms. I.K. Huda Department of Botany, University of Chittagong, Chittagong 4331, Bangladesh Abstract The study aimed at determining the status of occurrence of the orchid treasure of Bangladesh for providing data for Planning National Conservation Strategy and Development of Conservation Management. 54 orchid species are assessed to be presumably lost from the flora of Bangladesh due to environmental degradation and ecosystem depletion. The assessment of their status of occurrence was made based on long term field investigation, collection and identification of orchid taxa; examination and identification of herbarium specimens preserved at CAL, E, K, DACB, DUSH, BFRIH,BCSIRH, HCU; and survey of relevant upto date floristic literature. These species had been recorded from the present Bangladesh territory for more than 50 to 100 years ago, since then no further report of occurrence or collection from elsewhere in Bangladesh is available and could not be located to their recorded localities through field investigations. Of these, 29 species were epiphytic in nature and 25 terrestrial. More than 41% of these taxa are economically very important for their potential medicinal and ornamental values. Enumeration of these orchid taxa is provided with updated nomenclature, bangla name(s) and short annotation with data on habitats, phenology, potential values, recorded locality, global distribution conservation status and list of specimens available in different herbaria. Key words: Orchid species, lost treasure, Bangladesh, conservation status, assessment. In nature, orchid seed germination is obligatory following infection by mycorrhizal fungi, which supplies the developing embryo with water, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals, causing the seeds to germinate relatively slowly and at a low germination rate. ,e nonsymbiotic germination of orchid seeds found in 1922 is applicable to in vitro propagation. ,e success of seed germination in vitro is influenced by supplementation with organic compounds. Here, we review the scientific literature in terms of the contents and role of organic supplements in promoting seed germination, protocorm development, and seedling growth in orchids. We systematically collected information from scientific literature databases including Scopus, Google Scholar, and ProQuest, as well as published books and conference proceedings. Various organic compounds, i.e., coconut water (CW), peptone (P), banana homogenate (BH), potato homogenate (PH), chitosan (CHT), tomato juice (TJ), and yeast extract (YE), can promote seed germination and growth and development of various orchids.

  • An Enumeration to the Orchids and Their Conservation Status in Greater Sylhet, Bangladesh
Bangladesh J. Plant Taxon. 23(1): 13-25, 2016 (June) © 2016 Bangladesh Association of Plant Taxonomists AN ENUMERATION TO THE ORCHIDS AND THEIR CONSERVATION STATUS IN GREATER SYLHET, BANGLADESH M.M. ISLAM, M.K. HUDA1 AND M. HALIM2 Department of Botany, University of Chittagong, Chittagong 4331, Bangladesh Keywords: Conservation; Diversity; Orchidaceae; Sylhet. Abstract The present investigation deals with enumeration including diversity, ecology and conservation of the family Orchidaceae of greater Sylhet region of Bangladesh. Extensive field trips were made at 11 different sites of this region during early monsoon, late monsoon and winter seasons. Relevant literature and different herbaria were consulted to gather information about the orchids of this region. Orchidaceae is represented in greater Sylhet by 75 species under 49 genera. Out of these, 25 species are terrestrial, 48 are epiphytic, one is saprohytic and one is hemiepiphytic. Presence of 37 monotypic genera indicates a narrow diversity in Orchidaceae of this area. The present investigation revealed that 26 orchid species are restricted and distributed only in Sylhet region in Bangladesh. The currently accepted taxonomic nomenclature, synonyms, habit, flowering time, present conservation status and geographical distribution are provided under each taxon. Introduction Orchidaceae is one of the largest flowering plant families, represented by about 1000 genera and 20,000 species with cosmopolitan distribution, primarily in the tropics and rarely in arctic regions (Chowdhery, 1998). A preliminary checklist of family Orchidaceae for Bangladesh was made by Huda et al. (1999) with an enumeration of 160 species and 2 varieties under 63 genera for Bangladesh. Of them, 106 taxa were epiphytic and remaining 56 were terrestrial.

  • Modificaciones En Medios De Cultivo Aplicadas En Conservación Y Producción In-Vitro De Orquídeas
Modificaciones en medios de cultivo aplicadas en conservación y producción in-vitro de orquídeas Modifications in cultivation media applied in preservation and in-vitro production of orchids Juan Manuel Salgado1, Laura Peñaranda2 Recibo: 10.05.2018 Aceptado: 27.03.2019 Salgado, J. y Peñaranda, L. (2018).

  • Paphiopedilum Species 2010 -2016
The “New” Paphiopedilum species 2010 -2016 Introduction As is often the case in the world of Orchidaceae, there can be substantial disagreement between taxonomists about the classification of orchids. This is certainly the case for Paphiopedilum, and in the context of the discussion topic “newly discovered” Paphiopedilum species, often there are more questions than answers about whether they are in fact new, are forms of existing species, synonymous with existing species or in there classification is invalid. Given the differing and often opposing views of many of the recognised authors including Dr Guido Braem, Dr Phillip Cribb, the late Dr Jack Fowlie, Olaf Gruss, Holger Perner and Dr Tanaka to name but a few, accessing definitive authority for newly recognised species has proven difficult. For the purposes of this exercise, the Plant List supported by Kew and several leading herbaria, http://www.theplantlist.org/1.1/browse/A/Orchidaceae/Paphiopedilum/ has been used as a quick reference as it provides details of those Paphiopedilum species where the identification is accepted, as well as those unresolved or in dispute. Dr Tanaka who is recognised as a very knowledgeable enthusiast has a long list of “new” species on his webpage http://www.orchid.or.jp/orchid/people/tanaka/indexe.html He says very clearly that his page is not for scientists or botanists, but is for enthusiasts, thereby avoiding the classification disputes that plague taxonomy. For the purposes of this paper, I will use species that Dt Tanaka lists as “new” as a basis for informing members about newly discovered Paphiopedilum and improving our knowledge and understanding of the taxonomical processes involved in validly identifying and obtaining recognition for a previously unidentified plant species.
