Mike Orchard '97 2 Opening Unknown by Mike Creen As we wandered the halls of Assumption, few of us realized exactly what was happening. The 1 996-97 school year was one that could hap pen but once in a lifetime. The students made the year truly exciting, and the atmosphere in the building was something which will never be recaptured. It was truly something special. As they look to the future, the underclass men are excited about the possibilities of their destination, but they also realize that the road can take unexpected turns. With the lessons they have learned and the experiences they have overcome these classes look ready to take on whatever life throws at them. As the oldest in the school the seniors brought a new unity which spread to every as pect of student life. With outstanding competi tors and strong support, the class of '97 led by example and kept Assumption on top. Although we walked confident and united throughout the school year, our future is un known. -

The commission agreed to refund $85,812 to Blackrock Crossing, LLC, owner of the Eagle’s Crossing shop- ping center on the corner of A1A and Blackrock Road, at its Oct. 26 meeting. 2015 Mercy Housing Annual Report
2015 ANNUAL REPORT t Mercy Housing, we recognize that safe, affordable, service- enriched housing helps people invest in themselves and their communities. On behalf of our eight Sponsor Communities, our Board of Trustees, and everyone who works at Mercy Housing, we thank you. Thank you to our donors, financial partners, investors, and supporters who have joined us in our efforts to create and preserve a more equitable world. 2 | Mercy Housing ear Partners in Hope, As 2015 draws to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on the meaning and importance of preservation. It makes sense that this word comes to mind; 2015 was Jane’s first full year as Mercy Housing’s President and CEO, and she was intent on preserving the guiding values of respect, justice, and mercy that are the foundation of our work. 2015 saw us start and finish a remarkable number of developments where preservation was a central theme. In Seattle, we were chosen to repurpose abandoned World War II barracks into affordable housing. In Chicago, we started construction on the vacant structures that once housed Sears, Roebuck & Co.’s headquarters. In San Francisco, we stepped into ownership of three properties formerly owned by the San Francisco Housing Authority. And in Savannah, we completed the transformation of Strathmore Estates, a neglected area known for blight. We replaced decrepit buildings with Savannah Gardens, a planned neighborhood of 439 affordable homes for families and seniors. The results are nothing short of stunning. In the last quarter of the year, the Wheaton Franciscan Sisters approached Mercy Housing with a request that we take over ownership and management of their 33 affordable housing communities across 10 states. -

Introduction
Chapter I Introduction 1.1 Background of the study Many people might think children’s literature could be easily defined as “books for kids.” However, there are many different definitions of children’s literature and even varying definitions for literature and children! (Huck and friend, 1987:6) asked children’s books or children’s literature are books that have the child’s eye at the center. The children’s literature modern began in 1865 when Charles Dodgson (under the pen name of Lewis Carroll) wrote Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. It was the first novel written especially for children that was purely entertaining, with no instructional purpose. In general, (Luknes, 2003: 14- 34) classifies the genre of children literary into six; realism, fiction formulas, fantasy, traditional literature, poetry and nonfiction. As we know, this Tinker Bell movie is a fantasy movie. Children literature is able to influence the growth and development of children. (Saxby & Winch, 1991: 5-10) said that children literary contributions can support the growth of experiences (sense, emotion, language), personal (cognitive, social, ethical, spiritual), exploration and discovery, but also adventure in enjoyment. Now many thousands of good children’s books are available from libraries, stores, and book clubs. Then because technology child literature develops into plays, video games, television shows, and movie. 1 Movie is one of the most popular media. To proven that, many audiences who watch movies in cinemas also make multimedia companies generate profits up to millions US$. One of them is Avatar the movie by James Cameron who released at 2008. The total profit reached 2.788 billion US dollars, at last Avatar movie became the best selling movie of all time.
