Gowri Shankar Raju, R/o D. No. 27-1-189, Srinagar, Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam – 530026 to pay the amount due to the bank, being Rs. 14,47,118/- (Rupees Fourteen Lakhs Forty Seven Thousand One Hundred and Eighteen Only) with further interest and costs, and expenses within 60 days from the date of the said notice. Whereas the borrowers and the Guarantors having failed to pay the amount due to the Bank as called for in the said demand notice, the Bank has issued possession notice on 04.11.2015 and has taken symbolic possession of the secured asset more fully described in the schedule hereunder on 04.11.2015 under Section 13 (4) of the Act read with Rules 8 & 9 of the Security interest (Enforcement) Rules, 2002 for realization of Bank’s dues. The dues to the bank as on the date of taking possession was intimated as Rs.13,72,106/- as on 04.11.2015 payable together with further interest at contractual rates and rests along with costs, charges etc till date of repayment, after reckoning repayments, if any, since the date mentioned in the demand notice. The dues of the borrower as on 17.07.2019 works out to Rs.22,09,506/- (Rupees Twenty Two Lakhs Nine Thousand Five Hundred and Six Only) along with further interest at contractual rates and rests, besides costs + actual expenses made for property maintenance after reckoning repayments, if any, subsequent to the Bank issuing demand notice. One who is poor has little or no access to income, employment, education, housing, health and other basic necessities of the life. In fact, it is poverty which forces one to suffer agonies and hardship including social discrimination. Slum areas have substandard houses, high density and congestion overcrowding, in sanitary conditions and absence of basic amenities like drinking water, electricity and fair price shops, etc., the slums environment is responsible for the mental outlook of the dwellers, especially its effects on growing children is most remarkable. Children daily witness scenes of violence, drunkenness and crime. The personal hygiene is poor and is reflected in their clothing and living condition. Due to unhealthy environmental conditions prevailing in the slums, diseases like TB, Cholera, Malaria and Jaundice are common Visakhapatnam slums. The present study collects primary data from the study area and tries to explore the Population characteristics, Housing, Health and Socio-economic characteristics. It was found that most of the facilities are below the average. People are living in a very pathetic situation. The basic needs of people are not fulfilled. Miscellaneous works are in progress. Project cost - Rs.10 Crores. Project was inaugurated by Hon’ble President of India on 07.12.2017. (3) Development of Flyover at NAD Junction: VUDA has taken the project of “Construction of Flyover at NAD Junction, Visakhapatnam” to overcome the Traffic problems with sustainable urban junction solution for a seamless Pedestrian and Vehicular movement, signal-free at the Intersection. The work has been entrusted to the contracting agency, M/s.Vijay Nirman Company Ltd., Visakhapatnam for an amount of Rs.113.61Cr vide Letter of Acceptance (LOA) issued dated 07.10.2017 on EPC mode of contract. The agreement was concluded dated 18.11.2017. The contract period is 24 months. The contracting agency has commenced the project works viz., preparatory works, soil investigations, survey works etc. The works are in progress. (4) Development of footpaths to Beach road from Thennati Park to Thimmapuram at IT SEZ. Improvements and landscaping of roads such as development of Foot paths etc., Length of the road to be developed is 11 KMs.
