There were a total of 100 deserving recipients who were given free Thanksgiving dinners for their families. Remember that there’s always something to be thankful for. For more information, please go to: http://www.readysandiego.org/ Neighborhood Revitalization through Code Enforcement: CIVIL PENALTY NOTICE AND ORDER, ABATEMENT PENALTY NOTICE, & A NOTICE OF VIOLATION: These notices were issued for 2 different properties that are ALL in violation of the San Diego Municipal Code. The property located at 3115-3127 54th Street is operating a large collection facility (Oak Park Recycling) without the required Neighborhood Use Permit. Additionally, the residential unit at 435 Ringwood Drive has been notified for their vacant and unsecured structure which is a serious threat to the public’s health and safety. The property owners at each location are ordered to correct all violations. Civil penalties are assessed at a daily rate not-to-exceed $2,500 per day per violation and a total maximum of $250,000 per parcel. Code enforcement helps keep our neighborhoods clean and safe! Living Our Cause 2016 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Poetry and Art Contest: Enter this contest by answering, “How does Dr. King’s dream live on in your life and community?” Students from Kindergarten to high school can submit any art, poetry, essays and spoken word in response to this question. All selected winners will be given two tickets to breakfast and a 1 month Family Membership to the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA.
