The property located at 3115-3127 54th Street is operating a large collection facility (Oak Park Recycling) without the required Neighborhood Use Permit. Additionally, the residential unit at 435 Ringwood Drive has been notified for their vacant and unsecured structure which is a serious threat to the public’s health and safety. The property owners at each location are ordered to correct all violations. Civil penalties are assessed at a daily rate not-to-exceed $2,500 per day per violation and a total maximum of $250,000 per parcel. Code enforcement helps keep our neighborhoods clean and safe! The increased popularity of online access has changed society in the areas of communication, commerce, research, and entertainment. As society changes, architecture will change with it. The retail industry is ready to undergo a transformation. Thus, this thesis explores the integration of virtual and physical environments to achieve a unique way of retailing that provides the customer with an enhanced experience, convenient service, and personalized stores. Communication among customers includes access to a virtual world, which allows them to interact with distant locations and individuals whether in the main physical store, virtually from a home computer, or from a branch location. Technology gives the retailer the ability to change quickly, access a larger customer base, and personalize advertising to individuals. Accordingly, it is hypothesized that the new retail environment will be a collection of inter-connected retail communities, both real and virtual, interacting in ways previously believed to be science fiction.

    CITY OF DETROIT SPECIAL EVENT APPLICATION GUIDELINES An organization (i.e. church, non-for-profit, for-profit) is required to obtain Special Events licenses/Permits to conduct any outdoor festival, street fair, carnival, circus, walkathon, bike race/ride, fireworks, parade, concert/performance, political ceremony, run/marathon, sports/recreation, rally/demonstration etc., located on the public right way or outdoors on private property. Applications must be submitted 60 days prior the event. Application must be completed in its entirety. If submitted later than 60 days prior, application is subject to denial, no exceptions. Successful events are the result of advance planning. • Food vendors must be licensed if serving or selling food • Liquor vendors must be licensed. Issuance of a Special Event permit does not ensure issuance of liquor licenses.
