Richmond Junior Football Club Season 2017 1 RJFC Presidents report 435 Reasons why we do what we do The above figure represents how many boys and girls we had represent the Index Richmond Junior football club in 2017, we have once again seen growth in both the boys and Girls teams and see no reason why this will not continue next year and RJFC Team Awards 3 U11 Boys Yellow 13 beyond, Auskick was again a big hit with around 150 participants, and a big thank RJFC Club Awards 4 U12 Girls Yellow 14 you to Craig Lake on his efforts this season. RJFC Team of the Year 4 U12 Girls Black 15 RJFC Finals Best Players 4 U12 Boys 16 Looking back at Season 2017 we have seen a continued relationship with all our Milestone Games 4 U13 Girls 17 partners; the Richmond Central FC, our senior partners down at Kevin Bartlett U8 Boys Black U13 Boys Reserve and the City of Yarra. Also, the Melbourne Indigenous Transition School 5 18 and our sponsors, have all contributed to build a stronger more vibrant club. U8 Boys Yellow 6 U14 Girls 19 U9 Boys Black 7 U14 Boys 20 Off the field we decided to set up for the next few seasons by ensuring Kevin Bartlett U9 Boys Yellow 8 U15 Girls 21 Reserve was fully catered for with all the items required – Canteen equipment and U10 Girls 9 U15 Boys 22 Football equipment were all purchased, more equipment at Citizens Park to cater U10 Boys Black 10 Youth Girls 23 for the growth, we also added new members to the committee. U10 Boys Yellow 11 Colts 24 On the field we saw many highlights, more players than ever and 5 teams making U11 Boys Black 12 Sponsors 25 the finals, 3 of which made a Grand final. Congratulations to the U14 Boys who are now premiers in their division and also to the U10 Boys Yellow premiers in their lightnening premeriship. Individually many players polled well in the YJFL Best and Fairest and represented the YJFL in representative teams. We also had a player that represents the Big V in the U12 School carnival in Darwin YJFL B+F RESULTS – congratulations to Jagga Smith, a truly great effort Congratulations to the following players for placing in the YJFL count: On the social side of things we again had some very well attended functions, thanks to the social committee for again organising these events (Sara, Tania, Troy, Alice Jagga Smith U11 Gold 3rd Herschel Waters U13 2nd and Guy), also a big thank you to Mick, Bomber and Basil, they do a great job week Hamish Hudson U11 Gold 6th Paul Babui U13 3rd in week out, and we appreciate the effort. Matthew Haberfield U11 Blue 7th Will Stevens U14 3rd Looking ahead to the Summer squad, all of the coaches are in agreeance that the Edward King U12 Blue 4th Milla Bornas U14/15G 2nd focus should be on improving the skill of kicking, so we will put a plan in place to Clare Wong U12G Brown 7th Conor Loel U15 (3) 2nd ensure this occurs, but we will need help.
