PAGE HEADER A NEW LOOK FOR THE HUSKIES The 2013-14 academic year marks the debut of a new look for the uni- forms worn by University of Connecticut student-athletes and coaches of all 24 Husky teams. The two major changes will be the use of “UCONN” across the front of every uniform worn by each team and a new look for the Jonathan Husky logo. The new look is part of a new institutional branding and marketing program that uses “UCONN” as the primary mark of the University in all signage, publications, advertising and marketing activities. A new Husky dog logo was also developed as part of a review of all athletic team logos and marks, which in recent years had moved away from a consistent look on team uniforms. The new Jonathan Husky logo is a reflection of comments by coaches and student-athletes who participated in the process of reviewing the branding and logos used in the Division of Athletics. 2013 Huskies Football Media Guide THE TRADITION THE FUTURE 2007 and 2011 BIG EAST Champions Connecticut Native Paul Pasqualoni Is Home To Lead The Huskies 2011 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl and Bowl Championship Series The BIG EAST Conference All-Time Leader In Career Wins And Conference Career Wins 2010 Papajohns.com Bowl Champions Made Nine Bowl Appearances As A Head Coach 2009 International Bowl Champions NFL Assistant Coach For Six Years 2007 Meineke Car Care Bowl Incredible Coaching Staff With A Combined 180 2004 Motor City Bowl Champions Years Of College Coaching And 31 As Head 2009 FedEx Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award Coaches Recipients Eight Starters Returning On Offense and Six on 16 NFL Draft Picks In Last five Years Defense School-Record Five NFL Draft Picks In 2013 Upcoming Home Games At Rentschler Field Against Michigan (2013), BYU (2014), Boise Two All-American Tailbacks Who Were Both State (2014), Tennessee (2015) and Virginia BIG EAST Offensive Players Of The Year (2016) THE CONNEctICUT FOOTBALL PHILOSOPHY Academics Are The Priority Conference Champions Head coach Paul Each and every year, the Connecticut football team expects to be a Pasqualoni and his staff factor in the race for its conference championship and the new American emphasize academ- Athletic Conference will be a highly-competitively and exciting league . Staying In Touch With Alumni The UConn football alumni are the roots of the excellence of the Husky program. UConn football alumni are more active and involved in the program than ever. For the past seven seasons, former UConn head coaches and alumni have served as honorary coaches for the Blue-White Spring Football Game. In an effort to help members of UConn’s foot- ball team enhance their prospects for employment following college, the UConn football program sponsors a Career Information Fair twice a year.
