Please use the CAMPING AREA ENTRANCE to the Park and NOT the Main Entrance to the Park. GPS Address - 3355 Red Lion Road, Bear, DE 19701 From the North and South (via I-95), Exit I-95 at Delaware Exit #1A (Route 896 South). Follow Route 896 South for 6 1/4 Miles. Go PAST the sign that says "Main Entrance" Do NOT turn onto Howell School Road. Make a left onto Route 71 (there is a traffic light). Stay on Route 71 for 1 1/2 miles. Make a left into the show grounds. From New Jersey: Cross the Delaware River at either the Commodore Barry Bridge or the Delaware Memorial Bridge and follow the signs to I-95 South. Follow directions above. From Southern Delaware: Follow Route 896 North across the Summit Bridge in Middletown, DE. Make a right at the first traffic light on the north side of the bridge (Route 71 East). Stay on Route 71 for 1 1/2 miles. Make a left into the show grounds. From the West (via Route 896): Follow Route 896 South into Delaware. You will pass through the University of Delaware's Campus. Follow the signs and stay on Route 896 South. You will cross over I-95. Follow the directions given above. Note for I-95 travel through Wilmington A 2 ½ year construction project on I-95 through Wilmington will cause extended delays. Please take an alternate route. Deposits may be required. It is expected of each Exhibitor that all rules of the hotels and motels are followed. Any reports of damage to rooms or grounds of these facilities will result in appropriate action by the Wilmington Kennel Club. 2 THE LUMS POND CLASSIC COVID-19 SOCIAL DISTANCING PLAN EVENT ATTENDEES VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS RELATED TO EXPOSURE TO COMMUNICABLE DISEASES. SIGN WAIVER ON NEXT PAGE. The following plan is designated at this time for The Lums Pond Classic of Dog Shows and subject to change. Failure to comply could subject the individual to being removed from the grounds and/or disciplinary action in accordance with AKC's Dealing with Misconduct booklet. 1. NO SPECTATORS ARE ALLOWED. THESE SHOWS ARE CLOSED TO GENERAL PUBLIC. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR ACCESS PASS ON YOU AT ALL TIMES, EVEN WHEN SHOWING. All attendees (officials, judges, stewards, exhibitors and all workers) are required to follow state, local and facility guidelines in effect at the time of the event. 2. EXPOSURE TO COVID-19. If you have been recently in the presence of a person who has either tested positive for Covid-19 or has symptoms (coughing, sneezing, temperature), please stay home. If you are ill, feel unwell, coughing, sneezing or running a temperature, please stay home. All attendees are expected to adhere to social distancing guidelines and are required to wear a face covering. MASKS ARE REQUIRED IN BUILDING, UNDER TENTS, RINGS AND VENDOR AREAS. 3. Please remember to bring personal face coverings, hand sanitizer, gloves, cleaning wipes, etc. for your own personal use. 4. Exhibitors and all participants should SANITIZE hands as frequently as possible. Sanitizing stations will be provided throughout the facility for use. 5. WE WILL BE FOLLOWING THE SHOW AND GO PHILOSOPHY: To minimize the number of persons near the rings at any one time, be aware of and adhere to your scheduled times. Do not arrive at your designated location more than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time and exit the area upon completion of your participation. Every ring will have ringside crating available in designated areas only. Each ring will have an entrance and an exit gate to cut down on traffic. Each ring will also have tables for self-serve ring numbers and for ribbons and trophies. 6. Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the building and under the tents. 3 The following are rules estabished by the State Park. Any exhibitor, whether they are camping or visiting for the day, must abide by the following rules and regulations. Lums Pond State park requires that all vehicles remaining in the park overnight be in a designated camping area. Anyone wishing to leave a vehicle on the grounds overnight must register with Harry Miller via the form on page 7. Registration fees are $55.00 per night or $200.00 for 4 nights space permitting. There are limited full hookups - electric, water and sewer - based on availability. Vehicles will not be permitted to enter the park prior to 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. All camping spaces are located adjacent to a paved driveway . Camping space are for vehicles with paid reservations only. They are not for use as grooming or set up areas. Anyone using a numbered camping space as such will be charged the Park Camping Fee. Alcohol is prohibited at all times in the State Park. Lums Pond State Park has a zero-tolerance rule for alcohol and violators will be prosecuted. This will be strictly enforced by Park Officials. The Park requires that all dogs remain on lead and under control at all times (except when in ex-pens and in the Obedience Rings). Dogs are not to be tied or chained to any tree or post in the park. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up and disposing of animal waste properly. There is a bathhouse with hot showers on the grounds, centrally located. No dogs are permitted in this building. No waste or gray water is to be discharged onto the grounds at any time. There is a dumping station on the grounds for use by Exhibitors. Exhibitors will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their space. Any exhibitor leaving their space in a manner not satisfactory to the State Park or the Wilmington Kennel Club, Inc. will not be permitted to camp on the grounds at future events. The park is typically a carry in/carry out facility however, there will be DUMPSTERS provided for the convenience of the exhibitors. PLEASE USE THEM. All spaces will be pre-assigned upon receipt of the application and there will be no coning off of spaces. Camping spaces are limited so it is advised to register early. All spaces must be reserved through Harry Miller. Do not use the online parking reservation system. Overnight reservations are a privilege extended by the State Park. Any arguing, abusive language, or failure to follow the rules or the directions of officials on duty will cause PERMANENT forfeiture of all parking and camping privileges without refund of fees paid and the possibility of discipline by the Events Committee. For safety reasons, do not tie ropes or cords to any trees or shrubs. Do not hang lanterns on any trees or shrubs. The possession or display of any firearms, air guns, paint ball guns, sling shots, martial arts weapons, fireworks or archery equipment is prohibited. Do not ride bicycles at night unless they are equipped with a headlight and reflectors. Generators are permitted between the hours of 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM only. This will be strictly enforced by the State Park Officials. Failure to comply will result in a bench hearing. MKC, WKC or PTKC will NOT be responsible for the towing of any vehicle. For anyone needing it, the name and telephone number of a local towing service will be available at the Club Tent.
