NABC PICKS CALHOUN

KODAK DISTRICT COACH OF THE YEAR

BOSTON, Mass. -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has picked James Calhoun as a 1985 Kodak Coach of the Year for District I of

Division I.

Calhoun was one of 15 Division I district coaches of the year named by his colleagues in NABC. The 15 form the pool of leading candidates for the national Kodak Coach of the Year in this division. The national winner will be selected by NABC next week during its annual convention at the NCAA Final

Four Tournament in Lexington, Ky., and announced at a press conference in the

Radisson Hotel on Sunday morning, March 31.

In addition to the 15 Division I district coaches, the NABC today also named 8 Division II district coaches and 8 Division III district coaches. A

Kodak Junior College Coach of the Year will also be named in Lexington.

Eastman Kodak Company supports the NABC coach of the year awards because of the close relationship between coaching and photography.
