The Knights opened the 2016-17 NEC slate 8-1 and appeared destined for the top seed in this year's tournament, how- ever, the tables turned as the team went 1-8 in the second half of the conference season. The Knights now enter this year's tournament as the No. 6 six seed but remain unfettered as they have been in this position before. Last season, the team was picked ninth by the NEC Preseason Poll and defied odds to capture the crown. They are hoping this season, history will repeat itself as the Knights rally to the top. Awaiting FDU is a quarterfinal test against the team that they defeated in last season's NEC Championship Game -- in the building where it happened. The Knights have won three straight games at Spiro Sports Center and head coach Greg Herenda has enjoyed success with a 3-1 record in the conference tourney. The team's starting backcourt of Darian Anderson and Stephan Jiggetts were named All-NEC Second Team and Third team, respectively, and will need to continue their stellar play for the Knights to succeed. Anderson led the NEC in steals per game but he's been the key to the FDU offense, leading the team in scoring 15 different times. Jiggetts led the NEC in assists for most of the season but the junior guard has assumed more of a scoring role this season by necessity. With several key Knights' hampered by injuries through- out the year, Jiggetts is averaging career-highs across the board and has been a key cog throughout the season. His ability to get the free throw line has provided the team a huge lift as he has made 146 trips to the charity stripe and converted at a 81.5 percent rate. Sophomore guard Darnell Edge has provided a spark for the Knights this season. He spent much of the year providing that lift off of the bench, but since his insertion into the starting lineup, he has scored in double figures in seven of the team's last eight games and been especially efficient. The sophomore guard is shooting 52.2 percent overall but 57.1 percent in conference games. He is also at 90.4 percent from the free throw line, which has aided the Knights in their top 20 national ranking at the line. Fellow sophomore Mike Holloway has shouldered the load in the post for the Knights all season long. Holloway has started all 29 games and leads the team with 6.3 rebounds per game and is the fourth Knight averaging double figures in points at 11.4 per outing. After missing some of the season due to injury, the NEC's 2016 Most Improved Player and Tournament MVP Earl Potts Jr. is back in the fold and regaining his shooting stroke. Potts Jr. has led the team in scoring twice of the last six games with 21-point efforts. The third-year swingman is averaging 12.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in 15 NEC games this season.

Attitude Ladda ner boken PDF Jay Wright Michael Sheridan Mark Dagostino Charles Barkley Attitude Jay Wright Michael Sheridan Mark Dagostino Charles Barkley boken PDF NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER *; From the coach of the 2016 and 2018 NCAA Tournament?winning Villanova University men's basketball team comes a behind-the-scenes look at the making of a champion, along with lessons from his coaching career and the story of his personal road to success.NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY BLOOMBERG When Kris Jenkins sank a three-pointer at the buzzer to win the 2016 NCAA Tournament, it was a victory not just for a team and its coach but for an entire program. In his twentieth season with the Villanova program, including a five-year stint as an assistant to Coach Rollie Massimino, Coach Jay Wright had achieved his lifelong dream?and witnessed the culmination of a decades-long effort to build a culture of winning around a set of core values. In Attitude, Coach Wright shares some of the leadership secrets that have enabled Villanova, a private university with an undergraduate enrollment of less than 6,500, to thrive in the hypercompetitive world of college athletics. As he recounts the story of the 2015?16 Wildcats, Coach Wright offers anecdotes from his own journey up the ladder of success, with lessons learned on the Little League playing fields of his youth and wisdom passed down from his coaches and mentors. Each step of Villanova's journey to a national championship incorporates a signature term torn from Coach Wright's own motivational playbook.

  • Versatile Fox Sports Broadcaster Kenny Albert Continues to Pair with Biggest Names in Sports
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Erik Arneson, FOX Sports Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016 [email protected] VERSATILE FOX SPORTS BROADCASTER KENNY ALBERT CONTINUES TO PAIR WITH BIGGEST NAMES IN SPORTS Boothmates like Namath, Ewing, Palmer, Leonard ‘Enhance Broadcasts … Make My Job a Lot More Fun’ Teams with Former Cowboy and Longtime Broadcast Partner Daryl ‘Moose’ Johnston and Sideline Reporter Laura Okmin for FOX NFL in 2016 With an ever-growing roster of nearly 250 teammates (complete list below) that includes iconic names like Joe Namath, Patrick Ewing, Jim Palmer, Jeremy Roenick and “Sugar Ray” Leonard, versatile FOX Sports play-by-play announcer Kenny Albert -- the only announcer currently doing play-by-play for all four major U.S. sports (NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL) -- certainly knows the importance of preparation and chemistry. “The most important aspects of my job are definitely research and preparation,” said Albert, a second-generation broadcaster whose long-running career behind the sports microphone started in high school, and as an undergraduate at New York University in the late 1980s, he called NYU basketball games. “When the NFL season begins, it's similar to what coaches go through. If I'm not sleeping, eating or spending time with my family, I'm preparing for that Sunday's game. “And when I first work with a particular analyst, researching their career is definitely a big part of it,” Albert added. “With (Daryl Johnston) ‘Moose,’ for example, there are various anecdotes from his years with the Dallas Cowboys that pertain to our games. When I work local Knicks telecasts with Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier on MSG, a percentage of our viewers were avid fans of Clyde during the Knicks’ championship runs in 1970 and 1973, so we weave some of those stories into the broadcasts.” As the 2016 NFL season gets underway, Albert once again teams with longtime broadcast partner Johnston, with whom he has paired for 10 seasons, sideline reporter Laura Okmin and producer Barry Landis.
