TA Campaign History Dundee: The Son of a Legend Returns Home – Campaign Creative 1. Synopsis Crocodile Dundee is back. Well, actually, he’s missing in the Outback. And the only person who might be able to find him is the loudmouthed American son no one knew he had. Introducing Danny McBride as Brian Dundee. This son of a legend is forced to channel his Aussie roots as he teams up with a local expert, Wally Jr., played by Chris Hemsworth. Together, they’ll embark on the ultimate adventure in the land Down Under. It’s time to live up to the family name. Official Teaser Trailer #1 https://youtu.be/PCS657nOY8I This teaser is set in an epic canyon in the middle of the Australian outback. High on a cliff we see a silhouette of a man looking out over the canyon. As we get closer and closer, the music builds. A series of titles build anticipation for who the man is. They read, “This summer... The son of an Australian legend... Returns home...”. We see the man wearing a crocodile skin vest and black hat. He turns to camera and we realize it's Danny McBride. He confidently says, "G'day losers". We cut back to Danny playing with his huge knife and putting his own spin on the original film’s most famous line, “That’s not a knife. That’s a knife.”. Official Teaser Trailer #2 https://youtu.be/pk0BKD68rjs In this teaser, we see a bus travelling down a long, straight road in the middle of the outback. Wally Jr. (played by Chris Hemsworth) is waiting for someone by the side of the road next to his dusty, rugged truck. He sees the bus approaching and holds up a sign with “DUNDEE” written on it. The bus comes to a halt and a man awkwardly gets off with multiple roller suitcases. It’s Brian Dundee (played by Danny McBride). It’s obvious that he’s a fish-out-of-water when it comes to the outback. Brian and Wally Jr. greet each other and it’s clear that Brian is not what Wally Jr. was expecting. We cut back to Wally Jr. still coming to terms with this man being who he says he is. Official Cast Intro Trailer https://youtu.be/E7ZTh9Rd0aA This teaser announces the full cast for DUNDEE, including Danny McBride, Chris Hemsworth, Hugh Jackman, Margot Robbie, Russell Crowe, Isla Fisher, Ruby Rose, Liam Hemsworth, Jessica Mauboy and Luke Bracey. Water Buffalo – Full Scene https://youtu.be/XM8GyfxRzA8 In this scene, Wally Jr. and Brian Dundee stop their truck in the middle of a dirt road. Their path is being blocked by a large water buffalo. Just like his dad did in the original film, Brian gets out of the truck and tries to put the buffalo to sleep with a mind-over-matter trick. After his attempts fail to yield the desired results, Wally Jr. tries to offer some advice. Brian takes offence to this and abruptly tells Wally Jr. to stop distracting him. Finally, Wally Jr. gets his message across. He says, “I don’t think he can see you from Factsheet – Campaign Creative back here”. We now see that Brian is standing at least 30-feet from the buffalo. We cut back to Brian defiantly saying “whatever” and walking back to the truck. 2.
