Child Rights, Child Care, Education and Protection: 1. Child Rights, Care and Protection: We live in present. It is only ‘Present’ who makes future bright and past-memorable. ‘Stacia Tauscher‟ says - “We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today.” We strongly advocate our thinking that if we want a Nation to be Educated, Healthy, Prosperous and Peaceful ,we need care and protect a child from all types of Exploitation and leave free in a child friendly environment. Juvenile Justice ( Care and Protection of Children)Act is a best weapon to create a child friendly environment –who will open the door of Suraj and Gram Swaraj. So,we do advocacy and awareness among social influencers, Policy Makers and executive Officers along with Juvenile Justice system. 2. Work Oriented Education to Rural Girls: Since inception of the organization this activity is in continuous run. Our stand on education is very clear. We want equal and quality of education for all. Hence we are not providing school education but we want to people’s movement for change in education system and want to convince policy makers to think on this. We think that quality of education is only remedy of development and the development established by the dint of education will be sustainable. i. Secondary School Education: This year we admitted 45 students only in 9th Class and run 9th and 10th Class. Total 129 girls were educated this year. No of Students Registered for secondary school examination 60 and the number appeared in Secondary School Examination was 57 in which 52 students stood 2nd div and o6 First. 1 Annual Report -2017-18 SURAJE Local MP Hon.Chhedi Paswan participate in the 35th Annual Function of the School and Inaugurated the function.Among other imminent personalities of the Annual Function were Mrs Nisha Jha ,Former Chair Person,State Child Rights Protection Committee,Bihar; Dr Mokhtarul Haque ,former Member Child Labour Commission,Bihar;Mrs Usha Patel,Hon Member ,Zila Parishad,Rohtas; Annual Function. of the School ii. Vocational Training: We imparted skill development training in following skills as regular intervention among rural girls of Karghar Block through our school campus. a. Computer software . b. Accountancy. c. Applique Craft. d. Bio cultivation. B. General Health and Infectious Diseases: 1. Targeted Intervention Program: Project Goal: Prevention and Control of HIV New infection among female sex workers. CHAMPIONS PROGRAM on FAMILY PLANNING: Population has been a burning issue since a long period. We thought to raise the issue and aware people on this issue with a strategy to engage champions in creation of atmosphere, awareness and providing support under a broad network supported by ‘Global Health Strategies’. The strategy is involve those persons who have planned for their family and desirous to do something voluntarily for Society. These persons will be known as CHAMPIONS. We identified Dehari and Sasaram Blocks for active interventions. With the flow of time Women are operating themselves and we are playing only the role of Advisor and trainer. We organized International Women’s Day Celebration on 8th March as regular activity and function of the Organization.This year a Seminar was organised on the present scenerio and role of Indian women D.
