Classic hits such as “I’ll Be Around”,” Working My Way Back to You”, “Could It Be I’m Fallin’ in Love”, “Mighty Love”, “Then Came You”, “Games People Play” and “Rubberband Man” are played thousands of times all over the world. With three original members still in the band: Bobbie Smith, Pervis Jackson and Henry Fambrough; they continue to impress audiences, both young and old all over the world with their Philly Soul vocals and incredible stage show. It should come as no surprise that The Spinners have always made timeless music. Their classic group sound and approach never loses its universal appeal. More remarkable is the fact that The Spinners are even more popular in the new millennium than ever. Throughout the years, they have acquired twelve (12) gold records with their hits climbing to the top of both Pop and R&B charts and they are one of the few groups who can boast of four (4) lead singers. Members include Charlton Washington, Bobbie Smith, Henry Fambrough, Jessie Peck, and Marvin Taylor. “One of the best values in the business today! THE SPINNERS Most often thought of as a Motown recording act, the classic group sound of legendary R&B recording artists, The Spinners has never lost its universal appeal. Throughout the years they have sold millions of records and topped both the Pop and R&B charts with smash hits like “I’ll Be Around” and “Then Came You.” Today, original member Henry Fambrough is joined onstage by Jessie Peck, Marvin Taylor, Ronnie Moss, and CJ Jefferson; a soul-infused 4-piece band, led by Keith Ferguson, backs them up. After a brief time at Motown Records, The Spinners signed with Atlantic Records and teamed up with producer Thom Bell in 1972, setting into motion an amazing recording career. The Spinners charted five top ten singles from their first Motown album Spinners in 1972 and went on to become one of the biggest soul groups of the 1970s. A partial list of their hit singles on Atlantic include “Mighty Love,” “Then Came You,” “I’ll Be Around,” “One Of A Kind (Love Affair),” “Games People Play,” and “Could It Be.” In 1979, The Spinners completed their first collaboration with producer Michael Zager, and by early 1980, the single, “Working My Way Back to You,” was topping Pop and R&B charts giving the group its 12th gold record. The Love Trippin’ album’s release included “The Cupid Medley,” one of the fastest selling records in The Spinners’ career. The follow-up album, Labor of Love, featured such stand-out tunes as “Yesterday Once More,” and “Long Live Soul Music.” With the release of “Can’t Shake This Feeling,” their fourth LP in just over two years, the quintet entered a new phase of their remarkable career as they joined the award winning producing/writing/ playing team of James Mtume and Reggie Lucas.

It’s so elegant and cool and -fashionable. —Nile Rodgers to Bernard Edwards, cofounders of -Chic isco snuck up on America like a covert operation. This wasn’t how it had been in the sixties, when shifts in popular music—the arrival of the mop-headed British Invasion bands, Bob Dylan’s galvanizing electric turn, the emergence of Dpsychedelic rock—were unmissable cultural events immediately accorded the status of milestones. The rock “ revolution” of the sixties, like the Vietnam War and the protests it provoked, was the object of intense media coverage. Newsweek, Life, Time, and all the rest pounced on the story with prairie-fire speed. In a blink, whole new publications, including that soon-to-be arbiter of countercultural taste, Rolling Stone, emerged to chronicle the music, personalities, and culture of rock. The major labels may have been bewildered by the scruffiness, long hair, and druggy vibe of groups such as Big Brother and the Holding Company and the Grateful Dead, but they barely paused before racing to sign them up, even when they were little known outside of San Francisco’s hippie enclave, Haight--Ashbury. Six years later, when another musical revolution was taking shape, record companies opened neither their arms nor their coffers, with the result that disco developed slowly and at first largely off the official map. By the time Vince Aletti wrote about what he called “party music” and “discotheque rock,” in a fall 1973 issue of Rolling Stone, gay men had been dancing in discos for three years.
