Micro project 1- Łęczna and Kovel – cross-border towns of two traditions and cultures

The activities planned within the micro project 1:
1. The project inaugurating conference The official launch of the project will take place in Kovel, Ukraine, and will be in a form of the project opening conference. The conference will last 2 days and will gather 25 participants (13 representatives from Łęczna and 12 people representing the town of Kovel). The micro-project Lead partner will be the organizer of the conference, while micro-project Partner 1 will actively participate in common preparation of the event. The conference will be combined with the two-day study visit of 13 representatives of the Municipality of Łęczna to Kovel. During the meeting, the detailed rules for the cooperation in the joint project will be discussed. In addition to representatives of local governments and cultural institutions the delegation will also include artists – photographers and painters and folk artists from Łęczna who, during a meeting with Ukrainian partners, will learn about the people involved in local cultural activities which will be the inspiration for preparing joint events and works of art within the project.
2. The Łęczyński Fair The activities will include a two-day cultural event that will be held in Łęczna with the participation of artists and authors from Łęczna and Kovel. Residents of both towns will present their local tradition, culture and customs. The Łęczyński Fair will be the new common cultural event, which will initiate further joint initiatives of local community of Łęczna and Kovel in the field of culture and common traditions. During the Łęczyński Fair the following undertakings will take place: exhibitions of local artists, photographers, craftsmen, presentations of crafts of folk artists, concerts of local artists and vocal presentations of children and the youth , presentation of Slavonic traditions, staging of knights customs and stage performances. Authors will have the opportunity to share their artistic experience. Artists from both cities will present their work and will be able to confront it with reference to the artistic activities of their neighbours from the partner city. The event will provide the opportunity for cultural exchange and will enable to make new contacts in artists’ environment in both towns. During the event, artists from partner towns will present themselves before the audience from the Łęczna community, whereas Ukrainian artists, in addition to presenting their local culture and traditions, will have an opportunity to learn about local customs and traditions of Łęczna.
A wide range of artistic activities – stage performances, activities of photographers, artists and craftsmen as well as exhibitions of their work will permit presenting tradition and culture of both trans- border cities fully and representatively enough.
The organization of The Łęczyński Fair will contribute to the development of contacts in artists’ environments, as well as to the promotion and better understanding of the traditions and culture of the partner town. The organization of the event will enable to make closer contacts between the two communities. 35 representatives of the town of Kovel and 5 representatives from Łęczna will participate in the two- day Łęczyński Fair. The number of Polish participants is 250 persons that consist of about 220 participants of dance and vocal presentations, about 20 members of local music groups, about 10 local artists. About 6000 residents and guests of Łęczna will participate in the event as the audience.
3. The Festival of Two Cultures in Kovel Within the activity the two-day cultural event with the participation of artists and authors of Łęczna and Kovel will be organized. The residents of both towns will present their local tradition, culture and customs. The event will allow an exchange presentation of the works of Polish artists in the town of the Ukrainian partner. The residents will have the opportunity to learn about the traditions, culture and works of artists from Poland in the context of performances of Ukrainian artists. During the Festival of Two Cultures the following undertakings will take place: culinary presentation and tasting of regional dishes of the countries of partner towns, exhibitions, presentations of crafts of folk artists and concerts. 35 representatives of the Municipality of Łęczna, 5 representatives from Kovel and 160 artists will participate in the festival. About 6000 residents and guests of Kovel will participate in the event as the audience.
4. The compilation of a common bilingual (Polish – Ukrainian) text-photographic publication summarizing and promoting the project „The wealth of the borderland – Łęczna and Kovel. Friendship, culture and traditions” The activity covers the preparation, including the execution of texts, translations and photos and printout of bilingual (Polish and Ukrainian) publication containing photographs and texts, which will report on the implementation of common cross-border project, present and promote its results and impact, it will also present: the achievements of the partner cities in the field of culture, art and common traditions, natural resources and environmental-natural-cultural-historical values accenting partnership and cooperation of Łęczna and Kovel, information about the involvement of EU funds in the project. The publication will be done in 500 copies.
5. Project final and summarizing conference The official end of the project will take place in Łęczna and will be in the form of the project final and summarizing conference.
The conference will last 2 days and will gather 25 participants (12 representatives from Łęczna and 13 people representing the town of Kovel). The micro-project Partner 1 will be the organizer of the conference, while micro-project Lead partner will actively participate in common preparation of the event. The conference will be combined with the two-day study visit of 13 representatives of the town of Kovel to Łęczna. The aim of the conference is to summarize the substantive activities identified in the project, and promote the effects of its implementation. During the meeting, the detailed results and effects of cooperation within the joint project will be discussed. In addition to representatives of local governments and cultural institutions the delegation will also include artists - photographers and painters as well as folk artists from Kovel who, during the meeting with Polish partners, will present their works of art done within the project. Event accompanying the conference the joint art exhibition as the presentation of artistic work of artists from Łęczna and Kovel. The visit will serve the experiences exchange between the partners, cooperation, monitoring implementation of the project and its promotion. During the conference the bilingual text-photographic publication summarizing and promoting the project "The wealth of the borderland – Łęczna and Kovel. Friendship, culture and traditions” will be presented, Expected results:
1. A project-opening conference has been organised (13 participants from Poland (study tour participants), 12 participants from Ukraine). 2. Łęczna Fair has been organised (6000 recepients, 250 artists, 35 participants from partner countries) 3. Festival of Two Cultures in Kovel has been organised (6000 recepients, 250 artists, 35 participants from partner counrty) 4. Micro project 2 - Let's meet our cultures - Cooperation between the Municipality of Goraj and the Municipality of Zabolottia

The activities planned within the micro project 2:
1. Promotional brochure. The publication promoting cultural values of the Municipality of Goraj and the Municipality of Zabolottia - 400 pcs. - (40 pages + cover), presented in Ukrainian and Polish languages, will include: - information on the events organized periodically in the Municipality of Goraj and the Municipality of Zabolottia, - photographs and descriptions of interesting places in the Municipalities participating in micro-project (e.g. monuments, small architecture, meeting places of the inhabitants), - addresses of important institutions in the Municipalities (offices, churches, police station, fire station), - maps of the Municipalities showing culturally and institutionally important places, - logos and the cross-border programme and the EU. Materials for publication will be collected by the coordinators, both in Poland and in Ukraine, and then will be submitted to the Coordinator Lead Partner of the micro-project and commissioned for preparation and print. The publication will be distributed during the on-going events and after the project completion.
2. Project promotion will be conducted on a continuous basis during events organized within the project and after its completion.
The following promotional materials will be prepared within the promotional activities: - hanging banner - 2 pcs - one for the Polish partner, the other for the Ukrainian partner - standing banner - 1 pc - invitations - 200 pcs - posters informing about the planned events - 100 pcs - isothermal bag for those taking an active part in the project - cooking workshop participants - 40 pcs - wall clocks - will be awarded the most active participants of the events - 50 cs - ceramic mugs – 200 pcs.
Invitations and information posters will be an important element of the promotion that will notify about the exact date and place of the events scheduled under the micro-project. Posters will be hung in the locations situated in the vicinity of the Municipalities of Goraj and Zabolottia, to provide more detailed information on planned events. Invitations will be sent or distributed to special guests to be officially invited.
3. Goraj Brass Band Festival - an event promoting Polish and Ukrainian culture and traditions will last one day. The event is planned to begin with the ceremonial march of brass bands from the market square through the streets of Goraj to the playground in Zastawie. The next stage of the event will be the performances by a brass band from Zabolottia and a brass band from Goraj Then, the artistic performances of groups from Goraj Municipality are planned, followed by several competitions featuring questions on the culture and traditions of the region and the PL-BY-UA programme, to be participated by the persons attending the event. During the festival, a free publication promoting cross-border cooperation between Municipalities of Goraj and Zabolottia as well as promotional materials will be distributed. The event will be attended by a Polish-Ukrainian interpreter to facilitate communication with the guests from Ukraine. In case of bad weather, the performances of the brass bands will be held at the Communal Cultural Centre in Goraj. For proper implementation of this measure, the festival organization will start in due advance. The start of preparations (hiring stage, lighting, sound system, visas for the guests from the Ukraine etc.) is planned two months before the implementation of the measure. Overall, 50 participants are anticipated to attend the event including: musicians, artists, people involved in the organization. It is planned that the event will be seen by the audience of about1000 people. The result of operation will be an increased interest of participants in the cultural heritage of the Municipality of Goraj and highlighting of the cultural values of the Municipality of Zabolottia.
4. Culinary Workshops in the Municipality of Zabolottia - The workshops will last 2 days. On the first day, the workshop participants from Goraj will arrive with the brass band, which will provide music for the event. On the first day, dishes from the region of the Municipality of Zabolottia will be prepared at the back kitchen of the school in Zabolottia. The next step of measure is common open air tasting as well as dancing and singing of local songs. In order to establish better language communication during the event, the participation of the Polish-Ukrainian interpreter is foreseen. It is expected that this activity will involve at least 60 active participants, including 40 participants from Goraj, and 20 persons of participants from Zabolottia and workshop supervisors. It is expected that the event will be attended by at least 500 people from audience.
5. "Goraj flavours"- Culinary Workshops at the Municipality of Goraj combined with a family picnic - workshops will be held for two days. On the first day of the event, the participants from Zabolottia will arrive to a tourist farm in the Municipality of Goraj (at least 15 people) and take part in the culinary workshops with women from the Municipality of Goraj. During the workshop, participants will prepare regional products such as buckwheat pie called "Gryczak" and the product of Lublin region called "Cebularz". On the following day, they will prepare onion soup, as it tastes best immediately after preparation. After preparing the onion soup, a family picnic will be held at the School yard at Bednarska Street or possibly at the market square in Goraj. The event will involve performances of back yard bands operating in the Municipality of Goraj, competitions and plays, during which promotional materials will be distributed. The culinary workshops will be conducted jointly by the participants from the Municipalities of Goraj and Zabolottia. To ensure efficient organization of activities, a person responsible i.e. workshop supervisor will be appointed.
The indicator of the micro-project objective achievement is a 30% increase of the participants' knowledge on the culture and traditions of the region where they live as well as knowledge about the possibility of using the cross-border programmes such as PL-BY-UA – in order to document the results, surveys will be conducted at the beginning and at the end of the activities, involving the questions about the knowledge of traditions and culture of the Polish-Ukrainian border region and the PL-BY-UA 2007- 2013 Programme. The increasing awareness of the project participants will be facilitated by the materials promoting the project such as brochures, banners and promotional materials.
The micro-project results: 1. A promotional brochure has been developed and issued. Publication promotes the cultural values of Goraj and Zabolottia districts (400 copies). 2. A promotion of project has been conducted (1 set of promotional materials prepared). 3. A Goraj's Festival of Brass Bands has been organized – music event promoting culture and Polish and Ukrainian tradition (50 participants, number of audience - 1000). 4. A Culinary Workshops in Zabolottia district has been organized (60 participants, number of audience - 500) 5."The Goraj Tastes” - Culinary Workshops in Goraj district connected with a family picnic has been organized ( 15 participants from Ukraine, number of audience – 500).
Micro project 3 - Cross-border E-Center for Cultural Cooperation Lublin-Lutsk

The activities planned within the micro project 3:
1. Establishment and operation of cross-border E-Center for Cultural Cooperation Lublin- Lutsk Within this activity a common internet portal in Polish, Ukrainian and English will be created. The portal will be devoted to all cultural initiatives in the area of Euroregion Bug. Portal content and layout will reflect the innovative approach to promote the attractiveness of borderland culture. The bookmarks will be created as follows: a) events (at least music, cinema, theatre), b) cultural heritage (ethnography, arts and crafts, crafts, disappearing jobs, products, and regional cuisine), c) science (a web page tab where information concerning all events which will take place at the Universities will be placed), d) business (a web page tab where will be placed contact details of companies, who throughout their financial support will be willing to become “patrons of culture "), e) local government (a web page tab where information intended for the local government units will be placed), f) forum for cooperation, any person interested in working in the field of cultural development of the borderland will be able to register and seek partners for joint ventures. g) accommodation and catering database. Measure will be implemented together by the applicant and partner. Partner of Lutsk will be responsible for the collection and provision of materials and information necessary for the functioning of the Ukrainian side vortal.
2. Preparation of the Polish-Ukrainian cross-border strategies in the area of culture During this stage will be completed the following activities: The research process will be implemented in accordance with the principles of: a) objectivity-used tool in the research will be standardized as much as possible by using as many closed questions. This will minimize the risks taken into account by the interviewers of their own opinions and judgments, b) confidentiality- the analysis of documents and surveys will be conducted solely for research purposes and results will not be used for purposes other than research, c) reliability- consisting in the observance of the utmost care in making measurements, d) anonymity- in the research will not be taken into account the personal data found in the analysed documents. The research will extended to all local government units in the area of Euroregion Bug. The research will focus on a) understanding of the factors that affect the implementation of tasks in the area of culture in the border regions b) analyse the communal strategies for the tasks in the field of culture. Inquiry will take the form of a questionnaire. The research will have the following schedule: a) Appointment of Experts (this will be a research team composed of representatives of governments, business and science sector (4 people, 2 from the Polish side, two on the part of Ukraine) will develop a research activity and justification for the research hypotheses (1 month), b) Development of research tools (1 month), c) Carry out the test printing of questionnaires and conducting quantitative research in all units of local government in the area of Euroregion Bug (duration: 2 months), d) Selection of the sample, determine the sampling method and its abundance by a team of experts, encode the raw data into a spread sheet, perform statistical calculations, (1 month), e) Conduct of the survey made by the Council of Experts and the development of the obtained results. (1 month). Duration of the scientific research: 6 months. During this period, the Experts will be meeting during team meetings, communicate with each other using ICT tools and will participate as speakers at two conferences organized. The analysis results will be used: a) Analysis of the data already existing (desk research - analysis of information gathered in public sources), b) From quantitative studies (surveys). The results will be presented with grasping the diversity of the entities because of the basic socio-economic variables and because of the level of the source. Accepted in the design research methodology and applied research techniques to ensure successful completion of the study. The next stage will be to prepare a research report in the form of policies (in the printed version in Polish and Ukrainian). Dissemination and implementation of research results will take place at two conferences (one in Poland, one in Ukraine), during which the results will be presented. The aim of the conference will be primarily cultural integration of population, which is why local governments, community organizations, businesses and universities will be invited through participation in conferences to create vortal. The conference will examine some issues concerning cross-border cultural cooperation. Will be prepared and issued post-conference publications in Polish, English and Ukrainian. Measure will be implemented together by the applicant and partner.
3. The cultural competence trainer - training for local government officials To increase the number of common trans-border cultural initiatives in the area of Euroregion Bug course will be organized entitled "trainer cultural competence." cultural competence coaching course for people working in the public sector (education staff, local government offices, uniformed services) interested in developing their coaching competencies and skills in working with the group. The course modules workshop for developing intercultural competence and skills of coaching will be complemented by lectures and seminars, among others about solving problems associated with the culture within the local business sector and the impact on culture. Students will develop under the expert guidance programs for two-day workshop, which will receive a certificate after course completion. The course will be held in two groups (each with 20 people), a group of "Polish" course will be held in Ukraine, a group of "Ukrainian" in Poland. Preliminary schedule: Day 1- arrival, accommodation, dinner, Day 2 - breakfast, 4 hours of workshops, lunch, 4 hours of workshops, dinner, Day 3 - breakfast, 4 hours of workshops, lunch, check-out.
Measure will be implemented together by the applicant and partner.
Expected results:
1. A cross-border E-Centre for cultural Cooperation Lublin-Lutsk has been established and operated (1 internet portal, 2 internet billboards, 20 press advertisements) 2. Polish-Ukrainian cross-border strategies on the area of culture have been prepared (2 conferences, one in Poland and one in Ukraine, number of conference participants – 30, one strategic plan issued in 200 copies, one conference publication issued in 300 copies) 3. The cultural competence trainer – training for local government officials has been conducted (2 workshops, one in Ukraine and one in Poland, 40 participants)
Micro project 4 – Meeting with tradition, culture and cuisine of the Polish- Ukrainian borderland

The activities planned within the micro project 4:
1. Promotion Within the activity the following project promotional materials will be prepared: - 2 banners of the micro-project; - 200 posters; - 200 fabric briefcase; - 200 t-shirts Furthermore two announcements will be published in the local press. There will also be permanent access to information on the implementation of the micro project on the Communal Cultural Centre in Łaszczów website (www.kultura.laszczow.pl).
2. Artistic workshop - "To save from oblivion" Within this activity two artistic workshops (each 2 days long) will be organised – 1 in Poland and 1 in Ukraine. The workshop aim is to preserve, understand and cultivate the rich cultural tradition associated with the cycle of celebrations on both sides of the Polish-Ukrainian border, focusing mainly on Christmas and Easter. 20 participants (10 from Poland and 10 from Ukraine) will take part in each workshop.
To promote the tradition of the borderland the folder "To save from oblivion - Holiday traditions of the Polish-Ukrainian borderland" will be prepared.. The folder will contain a description showing the customs and traditions on both sides of the border and photos of work done during the artistic workshops. The folder will be published in 500 copies (20 pages, A5 format) and distributed on both sides of the border.
3. A book of poetry from Polish and Ukrainian border.
This activity will be implemented over a period of 3 months. Within the first month the coordinators on both sides of the border will collect works of regional poets from Poland and Ukraine. Next month the selected poems will be prepared to print as a volume of poetry, with translation made into two languages and then will be published as a book of Polish-Ukrainian poetry entitled "Written by the heart". The book will consist of 20 poems (10 Polish and 10 Ukrainian) and will be published in 500 copies. During the third month two two-day poetic evenings will take place (1 in Poland, 1 in Ukraine)..20 participants (10 from Poland, 10 from Ukraine) will take part in each of the evenings. For poetic evenings local authorities and local communities will be invited. It is estimated that on both poetic evenings (in Poland and Ukraine) will take part about 100 participants.
4. Cooking workshops - "Cuisine of the Polish and Ukrainian borderland" Within this activity there will be conducted two two-day culinary workshops to promote the local heritage of Łaszczów and Zhovkva culinary tradition. One workshop will be conducted in Poland and one in Ukraine, 20 participants (10 from Poland, 10 from Ukraine) will take part in each of the workshop. The workshops will be used to cultivate regional culinary traditions, combining the presentation of regional cuisine, attention to tradition and cultural heritage, as well as serve the local integration of the borderland. Participants will learn the principles of hygiene during food preparation, aesthetics and the way of effective use of recipes. On the end of the workshops the common tasting of regional dishes will be organised.
5. Publication with recipes - "Regional cuisine of the Polish and Ukrainian borderland" In order to promote the traditional and regional cuisine of both regions the publication with recipes "Regional cuisine of the Polish and Ukrainian the borderland" will be prepared on the basis of traditional recipes, collected during the cooking workshops. The publication will be translated into two languages: Polish and UkrainianIt will be published in 500 copies (30 illustrated pages, A5 format) and distributed among the project participants and local population on both artistic sides of the border.
6. Conference summarizing the micro project At the end of the micro-project one day conference will take place in Susiec, Poland. During the conference, addressed to people working in the sphere of culture, ethnographer will give a lecture on the tradition of the Polish-Ukrainian borderland. This will be followed by the presentation of the micro- project and individual activities. There will be presented publications edited within the micro project and an exhibition of works made on artistic workshops. The representatives of local authorities from Poland and Ukraine and directors of cultural institutions of the county of Tomaszów will be invited to the conference. At the end of the conference, all participants will receive the publications edited in the micro-project: folder "To save from oblivion - Holiday traditions of the Polish-Ukrainian borderland", publication with recipes - "Regional cuisine of the Polish and Ukrainian borderland" and a book of poetry "Written by the heart" (40 participants will take part in the conference).
7. The micro-project accounting After the completed implementation of the micro project billing documents and final reports will be prepared.
The micro-project results:
1. Project's promotion has been conducted (1 set of promotional materials). 2. Artistic workshops - "Save from oblivion“ has been conducted and promoted (40 participants of 2 events, 500 copies of the folder). 3. Micro project 5 – Cross-border Colours of the Roztocze Region – the cooperation of Tomaszów Lubelski and Rava-Ruska

The activities planned within the micro project 5:
1. Working visits Two working visits to Ukraine are planned. During these visits the project team will be established, tasks will be allocated to the right persons, specification sheets will be drafted and agreements will be signed.
2. Ethnographic workshops In order to push the traditional culture outside the museum walls, it is planned to organize ethnographic workshops on sculpture, pottery, traditional dancing, folk magic and beliefs. Four workshops (two in Poland and two in Ukraine) are planned within the framework of the project. Two-day workshops will be organised once a month on Ukrainian and Polish sides alternately. They will be run by Polish and Ukrainian trainers paying particular attention to the similarities between the two cultures. A group of fifty people (25 people from Poland and 25 people from Ukraine) will participate in the workshops. They will be recruited via the Internet, local press and promotional posters. The Ukrainian participants and trainers will be provided with a means of transport and catering during the workshops. During the delegations’ stays sightseeing trips will be organized in order to show them the beauty and cultural assets of the project partners’ towns and the surrounding areas. The photographic record of the trips will be later published in “Colours of Roztocze” brochure and presented at the conference concluding the project. The results of the workshops will be handicrafts and artistic presentations at the Colours of Roztocze Fair as well as a brochure (4000 items) with photographs and the description of workshops and the most interesting places of cultural interest in Tomaszów Lubelski and Rava-Ruska and their surrounding areas. The brochure will be printed in Polish, Ukrainian and English. Photographic equipment will be purchased for that purpose.
3.Borderland Fair – Colours of Roztocze A cultural event presenting the output of the workshops will be organised in Tomaszów Lubelski. The Fair will be a combination of a historical fair with a contemporary element of cultural exchange. The fair will include handicraftsmen’s shows, the presentation of regional dishes and exhibitions by local artists. The activity will be a tool to turn cultural, social and geographical differences into the field of cooperation and new relations A delegation of 50 participants is planned to come from Ukraine to Poland within this activity. The implementation of this activity involves transport, technical and expert support of the event as well as accommodation and catering for the invited delegation. The accommodation and catering for the Ukrainian delegation is required due to the fact that they will take part in the conference concluding the project the following day. The Ukraine delegation will consist of: town authorities, representatives of the town council, folk artists and handicraftsmen. The event will be open to the public and free of charge. About six hundred people are expected to visit the Colours of Roztocze Fair. Thanks to the fair the participants of the workshops will present their works (including those created during the workshops) to a wider public and encourage them to broaden their knowledge of Polish and Ukrainian cultures.
4. Promotion of cooperation between the towns of Tomaszów Lubelski and Rava-Ruska Visual materials like photos and prints (including those created by the workshops’ participants) with descriptions of places of cultural interest in Polish, Ukrainian and English promoting the culture of the two nations will be purchased within the framework of the project: - wall calendars and diaries – 1000 items (500 items for each partner), - mugs – 1500 items (750 items for each partner), - jigsaw puzzles – 500 items (250 items for each partner), - postcard sets with descriptions of places of cultural interest – 3000 items (1500 items for each partner). The preparation of the promotional products will be commissioned to a professional company. The products will be distributed free of charge by the cultural departments of the towns’ councils among the local inhabitants and visitors. Purchasing the above mentioned products is essential to reaching a wider public. The project will be promoted in the press. All the materials published within the framework of the project will feature a logo and information about subsidizing the project.
5. Conference concluding the project Within this activity a conference concluding the project will be organised. All activities, their effects and achieved results within the framework of the project will be shown at the multimedia presentation. The conference will be concluded with a panel discussion during which all the project participants will have their say and plan further cooperation between the partners. The conference participants will have an opportunity to see the photographic record of the trips and workshops. The conference will be held in Tomaszów Lubelski with participants from Poland and Ukraine (about 150 people). The participants will include the towns’ authorities’ representatives, non-governmental organizations and organizers of cultural activities. The transport of the Ukrainian delegation (50 people), catering for the two sides, and printout of photographs for the exhibition will be provided within this activity. Thanks to the conference the information about the project and its outcomes will be widely disseminated.
6. Project settlement. The funding and settlement of the project will take place on the Polish side. The Ukrainian partner will be obliged to draw up a report confirming the expenditure on the activities undertaken in Rava-Ruska. The above mentioned activities will allow the project participants as well as Tomaszów Lubelski and Rava-Ruska inhabitants to broaden their knowledge of the common culture. They will help to strengthen their cultural identity and lead to the mutual understanding of cultural differences. They will contribute to removing the still existing mental barriers hindering the contacts between the local communities. The development of cooperation on various planes will facilitate further integration and closer cooperation between the partners.
The expected project results:
1. Two working visits in Ukraine have been conducted (4 participants). 2. Ethnographic workshops have been conducted (2 two-day events, 50 participants, 150 posters, the result of the workshops will be handicrafts and artistic presentation at the Colours of Roztocze Fair as well as 4000 items of brochure ). 3. Borderland Fair – Colours of Roztocze has been organised (1 event, 50 participants from Ukraine, number of audience – 600). 4. Promotion campaign of the cooperation between the towns of Tomaszów Lubelski and Rava- Ruska has been conducted (promotional materials – 300 sets, postcards sets with descriptions of places of cultural interest – 3000, press advertisements – 6 on the Polish side and 6 on the Ukrainian side,) 5. Conference concluding project has been conducted (1 event, 150 participants, number of printed photographs about 100)

The activities planned within the micro project 6:
1. Workshops – study meetings. Two workshops – study meetings of the partners in Poland /one day/ and in Ukraine /one day/ in order to: tighten the relations of both partners, present the partner local governments (especially within the frame of cultural heritage; pro – youth actions; exchange of experiences, local development; culture; sport and recreation); ways of youth activation on the territory of local government unit (active spending of leisure time, development of interests, etc.); inspection of selected elements of cultural heritage; discussion of project’s activities and subjects, including choice and division of rituals (laic/church) to proposal of workshop activities in individual partner local governments, project’s propagation; other current affairs. Participants: (up to 8 people from each local government, altogether 16 people): e.g.: representatives of formal and informal organizations/youth groups, representatives of school youth, employees of local government unit, representatives of local societies, cultural institutions.
2. „Live Lessons” – stationary and local workshops. Running 8-days long works shops on the Polish side /4 days/ and on the Ukrainian side /4 days/ - symmetrical workshops. Each block of workshops /1 in PL and 1 in UA/ consists of 3 stages: 2.1. Stationary workshops: aim to learn about and discuss ritual traditions on the territory of individual local government; experts’ presentations and meetings with local story-tellers “folk talks” – carried out by local experts of cultural heritage (live broadcast of local rituals and traditions). Before staring the workshops the participants will be given an evaluation questionnaire /start/ - in order to get to know their opinion on the knowledge of the subject of cultural heritage from the area of both partners and their expectations connected with taking part in the workshops.; 2.2 Local workshops: Local workshops consist of inspection of places connected with cultivation of region’s rituals, during which presentation of rituals connected with preservation of old customs will take place. During the workshops the participants will gain practical knowledge connected with preparation of the materials for rituals, and ways of their carrying out. They will take part in activities resembling former life of countryside, agreeable with the nature calendar, old customs, old activities on a farm, everything with preservation of high accuracy in scenery and properties. 2.3 Introduction/presentation of the gained knowledge and skills. : Introduction/presentation of the gained knowledge and skills (from the theoretical and local workshops) by the participants of the trainings. Participants of the workshops are to work out 3 scripts of local rituals (3 scripts for PL partner and 3 scripts for UA partner), and next they are to choose one of the scripts, which effect will be co- preparation and co-presentation “Outdoor Staging of Ritual Event” by the participants. During the workshops participants will make elements of ritual’s scenery, decorations, characters disguise, properties, and amulets from half-products. Stages 1 and 2 – will last one day x 2 /PL and UA each/, and stage 3 – 2 days x 2 /PL and UA each/. Workshops are addressed to young people/youth groups (up to 12 people of each partnership project’s side – altogether 24 people). Recruitment of the target group is by the use of applications /order of the filed application decides on recruitment/, information on recruitment to the project – notice on the information boards and www pages of the local governments units, schools, social and cultural institutions.
3. Outdoor Staging of Ritual Event. On the basis of the carried workshop activities, two ritual events /in PL and in UA/ are going to be prepared with the participation of the participants of the project/young people. During the staging spectators, e.g. will get amulets handmade by the participants of the project, will take part in the ritual contests, other activating elements of the event /e.g. parades, dances, singing, ritual activities/. This staging will consolidate the gained knowledge among the project’s participants and will instil the need of cultivating common initiatives directed to cultural heritage, their supporting and constant development among respondents of the project. To end this operation, the participants will be given an evaluation questionnaire /finish/ - in order to get to know their opinion on the knowledge of the subject of cultural heritage from the area of both partners and expectations from the participation in the workshops. Participants will get diplomas certifying their participation in the workshops, describing the knowledge that they get. Time of lasting: 1 day in PL and 1 day in UA.
4.Project’s promotion:
1. Essay/scripts (about 90 pages, edition of paper version 400 pieces, CD edition 400 pieces in three languages: PL, UA, UK) presenting information on the subject of the local government units Ugniw and Werbkowice, description of the project, knowledge gained during the workshops 2. Two bilateral outdoor exhibition boards showing course of the project and the cultural heritage (one side of the board Ugniw’s presentation, on the other side of the board Werbkowice’s presentation). 3. An internet web side – including, e.g. information about the project and description of the rituals’ scripts, a film from the staging, description of the social and cultural resources based on the heritage; information about the events that will influence the tourism of both partners, base of contacts to the trained people – used to inform people interested in cultural heritage /rituals/. A website in three languages: PL/UA/UK. 4. A promoting film from the event’s staging. 5. 4 press announcements (2 in Polish and 2 in Ukrainian press at the beginning and at the end of micro-project implementation) 5. Traditional promotion materials: leaflets on the project with description of the project’s aims, actions, beneficiaries; pens with printed information about the project; information roll-ups, banners. All documents and materials and places of project’s realization will be marked with the special logo of the programme /programme’s operator PL-BY-UA and leader of the parasol project/ and will be described in a proper way.
Expected results:
1. Workshops – study meetings have been organized (2 meetings, one in Poland and one in Ukraine, 16 participants - 8 from Poland and 8 from Ukraine), 2. “Live lessons” – stationary and local workshops have been held (8 workshops including: 2 stationary workshops – 1 day in Poland and one in Ukraine, 2 local workshops – 1 day in Poland and one in Ukraine and introduction/presentation of the gained knowledge and skills – 2 days in Poland and 2 in Ukraine. Micro project 7– Where the spring gushes … - Musical Culture of Poland and Belarus borderland

The activities planned within the micro project 7:
1. Folk bands of the borderland review Review of the traditional folk bands from the Polish- Belarusian borderland (Bialski poviat and Brest district) cultivating chant traditions, using old songs in their repertoire. In this event will take part: old folk bands and youth bands, who draw inspiration from the old folk music (10 bands from Poland - 50 people, and 10 bands from Belarus - 50 people, totally – 100 people) . Bands will be chosen together with the Municipality Youth Council in Wisznice and other young people from Wisznice and Stradzieč in Belarus, who will be a co-organizer of the review. Organizers will ensure technical service for the event (scene, sound system, lighting, sanitary and electrical service), security, accommodation of Belarusian bands (10 bands x 5 people = 50 people) and board for bands taking part in the review (50 people from Poland and 50 people from Belarus = totally 100 people). Organizers will also provide the professional promotion of the event (posters, press advertisements). 2. Workshops of folk chant for the borderland musicians During the review the participants of folk and youth bands from both countries will be divided into two 10-people-training groups, which under the eye of professional instructors will improve their skills of the folk chant and also exchange experiences within frames of intergenerational and international experience transfer. 10 musicians from Poland will take part in 2-day-workshops in Belarus and group of 10 musicians from Belarus will take part in 2-day-workshops in Poland. Results of the workshops (increased knowledge of the old folk music of the borderland, improved vocal skills) will be used by participants of the workshops in their further artwork. The organizer will provide the travel, board and accommodation for the participants and also will cover the payment for the instructors. 3. Scientific survey of the borderland old folk music An expert panel in fields of linguistics, musicology, ethnography and anthropology of the Poland and Belarus borderland from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and Brest University will also take part in the review of traditional folk bands. Experts will hear texts of songs presented on the review and establish cooperation with representatives of old folk music bands. Experts invited from both countries will establish international research body, which task will be gathering and creating of a song-book, containing unique, evanescent, endangered by forgetting music works (texts and note transcriptions) from this area. The research body will consist of 2 representatives from Poland and 2 representatives from Belarus (a linguist and a musicologist from each country). Students of both universities will be also involved in the research of the team works. Survey will last 5 months, in this period the organizer will cover the costs of salaries for the research team collegiums (4 people). In this period the research team will organize 4 two-day-seminars in Wisznice, on which effects of works in both countries will be presented, progress of survey will be discussed and mile-stones of the survey will be summed-up. In each day of seminars 20 people will take part. During seminars the Lead partner will ensure accommodation and board for participants and will cover the travel costs of research teams from Lublin and Brest to Wisznice. Product of the survey will be edition of 500 copies of two-language song-book of the borderland old folk music together with note transcriptions of the most valuable, evanescent, traditional songs from this area. 4. Polish-Belarusian youth exchange 17 people from Poland and 17 people from Belarus (in both cases there will be 15 participants and 2 leaders) will take part in the exchange. Youth from both countries while staying in Belarus will take part in training named “Young culture manager”, during which they will learn how to professionally organize cultural events. The organizer will ensure board, accommodation and insurance during the exchanges, and also will cover costs of transport (necessary travels for appointments in local and regional culture institutions in both countries). Knowledge gained in the study tour of Polish group to Belarus will be used in the second part of the exchange – during the stay of Belarusian group in Poland. Then the youth will co-organize Music of Borderland festival and the summing-up conference of the project. The task of the youth will be choosing the bands which will take part in the festival, conducting the festival’s office, helping with technical service and logistics of the events. 5. Music of Borderland Festival and summing-up conference. The summing-up of the Project will be the organisation of 2-day-long Music of Borderland festival, on which the music bands taking part in the folk chant workshops shall present their skills. Each of the bands will present both the songs inspired by the culture and traditions of the Poland and Belarus borderland and created as a result of the attendance in the Project, as well as the acquired in the workshops skills. The Organizers (the applicant in the cooperation with the partners and the youth taking part in the exchange) will provide the technical service of the festival (the stage, sound, light, sanitary and electrical service), accommodation and boarding for the music bands members attending the festival (totally 100 people). Organizers will also provide the professional promotion of the event (posters, press advertisements). The festival will be broadcast online (www.wisznice.pl) and will be recorded and published on cd (500 copies). One of the parts of the festival will be the scientific conference devoted to folk music of the borderland combined with the presentation and promotion of the published songbook. The results of the research on the musical tradition of the Biala Podlaska - Brest region, in particular old songs, simple refrains etc of the area, will be presented on the summing up conference. Responsible for the organization of the event will be: the Lead partner - Community Culture and Education Centre in Wisznice (logistics of the event, cooperation with the Polish bands and youth) and Culture Department of Brest District (organization of the Belarusian bands’ travel to Poland), GOKiO in Wisznice and Culture Department of Brest District (organization of the conference, in cooperation with the lead partner). The Slav Philology Institute of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and Philology Faculty of Alexander Pushkin University in Brest will be invited to attend the conference in order to present accordingly the Polish and the Belarusian survey results. Expected effects of the Project: 1. Review of the folk bands of the borderland has been organized (1 event, 100 participants, 4 announcements in press, 500 posters). 2. Workshops of folk chant for the borderland musicians have been organized (2 two-day events, one in Poland and 1 in Belarus, 20 participants on each event). By conducting such an event vocal skills referring to folk singing technique of 10 musician from Poland and 10 from Belarus have been developed. 3. Scientific survey of the borderland old folk music has been concluded (4 two-day seminars, researching team - 4 people, number of seminar participants – 20 people, 500 copies of two- language songbook with note transcription). By publication of the songbook investigation, list and publication of original lyrics and transcription note storage of old songs of the border, endangered with oblivion have been done. 4. Polish-Belarusian youth exchange has been organized (2 events, 34 participants who will take part in training “Youth culture manager” and later on they will verify gained knowledge through organization of Music of Borderland Festival and summing-up conference, which increase their knowledge and skills of organizing cultural events ), 5. Music of Borderland Festival and summing-up conference have been organized (2 events, 100 participants, 500 copies of promotional film , 500 posters, 4 press announcements)

Project location: Poland, Ukraine The fairs of Nadbuzanski folklore "My Little Borderland" - fairs are aimed at promoting and wide presentations of folklore, crafts, cuisine, and the integration of Nadbuzanski border communities on both sides of the border, break stereotypes, good coexistence with respect for cultural identity and nationality. Essential supplies and services: rental of sound stages and preparation of technical facilities - sanitary (ground preparation including cleaning works, sanitation and others necessary), purchasing food for the participants, preparation of information materials (posters, leaflets), promotion in the media (press , internet, radio), the purchase of tents for exhibitions, employment announcer, transport.
3. Preparing, printing and distributing a joint publication entitled. "My Little Borderland" - Selecting a contractor to develop services and print publications. - Preparation of the publication - gathering materials, pictures and text to develop publications, including the translation of the publication into Ukrainian and English (1500 pieces). - Publication printing. - Distribution of publications on the area of Poland and Ukraine. Information about the workshops will be widespread through the press and the Internet. Participants will be selected by the project team at recruiting meetings (30 people) - Nomination of the lecturers of the seminar. - Purchase of materials necessary for the seminar - notebooks, pens, folders. - Selecting and signing a contract with. catering company and renting a meeting room. - Conducting one-day Seminar in Ukraine (30 people: bands, artists, exhibitors). Micro project 9 – The revival and preservation of folk traditions in the organization of local festivals and rites of cross-border union "Euroregion" Bug "

The activities planned within the micro project:
1. Preparing and conducting “round table” of experts This activity contains organisation of the “round table” on “Non-material Cultural Heritage of Euroregion Bug: problems of regeneration and conservation”. In this event will take part Polish and Belarusian experts (20 people).
2. Organization of the Polish-Belarusian culinary competition among owners of agricultural farmsteads "Paleskiya prysmaki" In this event 35 people will take part. For the organization of the culinary contest it will be necessary to buy products for Belarusian and Polish participants for their contest dishes. Different foodstuffs will be bought (regarding to the wishes of the participants). From these products contest‘s participants will prepare dishes which will be judged by 4 members of the jury. Representatives from the local media will be invited for this contest. For this activity an expert in collecting data for brochure will be employed. His or her task will be to collect recipes of dishes which will be prepared during the contest and preparing photographic documentation which will be needed for the brochure.
3. Preparing and conducting the harvest festival “Dozhinki”. This activity will be placed in Poland. 40 participants will take part in this festival including 10 participants from Belarus, chosen by Belarusian partner. This event aims to create cooperation between Polish and Belarusian partners. Harvest festival will present different customs and traditions connected with harvest time in Poland, so participants of this event will have the opportunity to compare presented customs and traditions with those practiced in Belarus.
4. Recording a video film about the harvest festival. A video film will depict the celebration of the harvest festival in Poland. This film will be broadcasted (6 broadcasts) in Polish television.
5. Preparation and publication of brochures on the basis of competition (1500 copies). Publication (approximately 36 pages) will contain description of the recipes of little-known and traditional recipes from the area of Bug Euroregion and photos of dishes which will be made by participants during the culinary competition “Paleskiya prysmaki”. Publication will be translated into two languages (Polish and Russian) and will be distributed in both partners’ countries. Brochure will contain information on co-financing of the project by the European Union with the placement of the logos.
6. Development of a web page. This web page will contain information about micro-project and its implementation. It will be placed on the site of the leading partner (www.agrosoyz.vbreste.by) a link to this page will be given in published brochure. Creating such web page will allow access to the information about the micro project to a greater number of people.
7. Preparing and conducting the Belarusian ceremony “Koniki” This activity will be placed in Belarus. 40 participants will take part in this festival including 7 participants from Poland, chosen by Polish partner. This event aims to create cooperation between Polish and Belarusian partners. Christmas rite “Koniki” will present different customs and traditions connected with this ceremony, so participants of this event will have the opportunity to compare presented customs and traditions with those practiced in Poland.
8. Recording a video film about the Belarusian ceremony “Koniki”. A video film will depict the celebration of the Belarusian Christmas rite. This film will be broadcasted (6 broadcasts) in Belarusian television.
9. Final conference with presentation of the project’s results Final conference will be held in Belarus. During the final conference project’s results will be presented. In this conference 40 people, including 10 representatives from Poland will take part. This event will be mentioned in the local media.
10. Reporting. After the completed implementation of the micro project billing documents and final reports will be prepared.
Expected results:
1. The “round table” of experts on “Non-material Cultural Heritage of Euroregion Bug: problems of regeneration and conservation” has been organised. (20 participants, 1 lap top, 1 digital camera, 80 posters of events, number of promotional materials – 1 set) 2. Culinary competition among owners of agricultural farmsteads “Paleskiya prysmaki” has been organised and conducted (1 event, 35 participants). 3. Micro project 10 – Professionalisation of cultural sector personnel from Lublin and Lviv in the field of project management

The activities planned within the micro project 10:
1. The establishment and work of Polish-Ukrainian project team. In order to ensure effective project management a Polish-Ukrainian project team of 6 persons will be appointed. The project team will implement the project according to PRINCE2 methodology, which will minimize communication problems between the partners. In each city a project coordinator will be employed under civil law contract. The Lead Partner Coordinator will act as the Head Coordinator. He or She will be responsible for providing overall coordination of project implementation in accordance with the Schedule and project financial settlement. Ukrainian Coordinator will provide support and assistance for the Polish Coordinator in the implementation of the activities organized in Lviv. In addition, the team will be composed of assistants of coordinators for financial support and implementation specialists recruited by each partner. Steering Committee will be responsible for project supervision and it will be composed of two representatives from each Partner (persons authorized to make key decisions on the project). Steering Committee will make decisions regarding the start of each project stage and when the project tolerance is exceeded (deviations from the Schedule) it will allocate additional resources. The project team will cooperate using Internet and communicators. Due to the limited budget of the project, all face-to-face team meetings will be held only during the organization of activities in each city. The joint project team is essential for the proper implementation of the project. All partners - Municipality of Lublin and the "Institute of the City", will be responsible for the establishment and work of the project team, the whole work of the project team will be coordinated by the Municipality of Lublin.
2. The establishment and work of Polish-Ukrainian working group for project management. Polish-Ukrainian working group will be responsible for conducting evaluations of existing procedures for implementation of projects in local authorities and municipal cultural institutions in Lublin and Lviv and adapting them to the needs of target groups, as well as for development of separate procedure dedicated to cross-border projects. The result of this working group's efforts will be 2 evaluation reports, 2 drafts with amendment to existing project implementation procedures of Lviv and Lublin, 1 draft procedure for cross-border projects implementation. In addition the working group will be tasked to develop the assumptions and the final shape of the publication presenting experiences in implementation of cultural projects of Lublin, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lutsk. The working group will consist of 10 persons, representatives of municipal cultural institutions and local authorities - 5 from Lublin and 5 from Lviv. The working group will work together during the eight two-day working meetings (5 working meetings held in Lviv, and 3 working meetings in Lublin). Joint working group is necessary for the proper implementation of the project. All partners - Municipality of Lublin and the "Institute of the City", will be responsible for the establishment and work of the working group, the whole work of the group will be coordinated by the Municipality of Lublin.
3. Organization of the project opening conference in Lviv (1 day). The aim of opening conference in Lviv is to exchange experiences and transfer good practices as well as to intensify cooperation between the representatives of Polish and Ukrainian cultural institutions, local authorities, NGOs working in the cultural sector, culture managers, animators in the implementation of joint projects. The program includes a lecture delivered by an external expert, speeches and presentations of the representatives of Lublin cultural institutions on the use of PRINCE2 methodology in implemented projects. 30 representatives of target groups and final beneficiaries will participate in the conference. Conference Venue - Lviv, was chosen because of the strong interest of Lviv cultural institutions in PRINCE2 methodology and its use in the implementation of cultural projects. Lviv is just beginning to implement projects based on the above methodology that is why opening conference will be held in Lviv. Both partners -Municipality of Lublin and the "Institute of the City”, will be responsible for organization and carrying out of the project opening conference in Lviv.
4. Organization of accredited training in PRINCE2 Foundation level with exams in Lublin and Lviv. Organization of trainings and exam is designed to raise the level of knowledge and competence of personnel involved in the implementation of cultural projects in Lublin and Lviv. Therefore, Lublin Municipal Office and Administration of Lviv City introduced a project management procedures based on PRINCE2 methodology, there is a need to train employees of local authorities and municipal cultural institutions in use of this methodology. In total 30 people -15 people from each city Lublin and Lviv, will be trained during two 3-day trainings. Polish company with accreditation in this field will carry out trainings in Lublin and Lviv. Training in Lviv will be conducted in English, because there are no accredited companies training in PRINCE2 on Ukrainian market and Polish companies offer these trainings in English or Polish. Target groups have accepted the proposed conditions of trainings. Trainings will end with an exam and participants will acquire relevant certificates. Trainings will be conducted with use of lecture method and workshops. Lectures will be based on multimedia presentations and enhanced through the use of a moderated discussion, exchange of experiences between participants and project case studies. Workshops will include: training in small groups, individual exercises, case studies, moderated discussions, exchange of experiences between the participants. The proper choice of form and scope of training delivered by experienced trainer will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of project issues and practical skills proven with certification. The exam will take place on the last third day of the training. Both partners - Municipality of Lublin and the "Institute of the City", are responsible for recruitment of participants, the organization of training will be commissioned to an external company - subcontracting. Subcontracting in case of this training is the only acceptable solution. Training may be performed only by a company with the status of Contracted Affiliate Organization (CAO) at the APM Group Ltd. in the UK, which entitles it to conduct accredited training in project management according to PRINCE2 methodology to prepare participants for the PRINCE2 Foundation certification exam. All accredited companies on the Polish market carry out comprehensive trainings - individual experts have no right to carry out trainings or exams.
5. Organization of project closing conference in Lublin (1 day). During the conference issues concerning the possibility of co-operation of the target groups with the use of PRINCE2 methodology and cross-border projects implementation procedures established in the project will be discussed. It will be an attempt to summarize efforts of working group. Publication presenting experiences in implementation of cultural projects of Lublin, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lutsk will be shown. 30 representatives of target groups and final beneficiaries will participate in the conference. Lead partner of the micro-project- Municipality of Lublin will be responsible for organization of closing conference.
6. Development, publication and distribution of the publication presenting experiences in implementation of cultural projects of Lublin, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lutsk. The publication aims to present the best cultural projects carried out by representatives of the cultural sector of Lublin, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lutsk with particular emphasis on cross-border and international projects. The publication will include records of experience of each owner of described projects with detailed information about projects. The publication will present implementation procedures used by local authorities and municipal institutions in Lviv and Lublin. The publication will include materials developed by the Polish-Ukrainian working group on project management, namely: 2evaluation reports, 2 drafts with amendments to project implementation procedures used in Lviv and Lublin, 1 draft procedure for cross-border projects implementation. Specifications of publication: 2 language versions Polish and Ukrainian. Size 240x170, volume 90 pages + cover, 4 +4 colors, the interior of chalk 90 g, 200 g chalk cover, circulation 500 copies. All partners - Municipality of Lublin and the "Institute of the City." will be responsible for development, publication and distribution of the publication.

Micro project 11 – Cultural identity of local communities of the Ukrainian- Polish border area

The activities planned within the micro project:
1. Creating the working body for each partner. Creating one working body for each partner that will ensure the micro-project implementation. The members of each working body will include one coordinator, and for the Ukrainian side – specialist on accounts and monitoring;
2. Selecting experts in the field of cultural traditions. In this activity 2 experts in the field of cultural traditions (one from Ukraine and one from Poland will be chosen). Their task will be to carry out research of cultural traditions of Ukrainian-Polish border area. They will provide, collect and analyse gathered materials and prepare a guide about cultural traditions. Experts will be employed for 3 months and will participate in conference.
3. Opening conference in Ukraine. 30 people will participate in the opening conference (15 from Poland and 15 from Ukraine). During this conference cultural traditions of Hirka Polonka village council of Volyn region (Ukraine) and community of Ruda-Huta of Lublin Voivodeship (Poland) will be presented. Moreover during the opening conference the following issues will be presented and discussed: identifying research areas of common cultural traditions of rural Ukrainian-Polish border, establishing cross-border contacts between schools, cultural centres and art groups, discussing the Cross-Border Festival of the cultural traditions of the Ukrainian-Polish villages, working out the concept of promotional publications and web-pages with common cultural traditions of the border.
4. Experts’ research in the area of the cultural traditions of the Ukrainian-Polish border area. Experts (one from Poland and one from Ukraine) will work three months and research cultural traditions of rural Ukrainian-Polish border area, identify common traditions and customs and gather information necessary to publish a guide about cultural traditions of Ukrainian-Polish border area.
5. Development of the Ukrainian-Polish website. Website will contain information about project’s implementation, micro-project’s partners, cultural traditions, art groups and cultural centres of the Ukrainian-Polish border area.
6. Preparing, translating and publishing a guide about cultural traditions of Ukrainian-Polish border area Guide will have a circulation of 500 items. It will be published in three languages (Polish, Ukrainian and English). It will contain general information about the cultural traditions of the Ukrainian-Polish border area, mainly about traditions of Ruda-Huta commune and Hirka Polonka village, gathered by experts during their research.
7. Holding the meeting of representatives of cultural centres from Ruda-Huta commune and Hirka Polonka village by the Polish Partner. The aim of this meeting is to exchange experience, examples of "good practices". In the meeting will take part 20 persons: 10 – Ukrainian participants, 10 – Polish participants. For all participants meals are provided (1 lunch, 2 coffee breaks during the meeting). For Ukrainian participants meals (1 dinner) and accommodation (1 day) are provided, because they will arrive the night before to start the meeting in the morning next day. All participants will be provided handouts (programme, pens, notepads), prepared by Partners.
8. Preparing and publishing booklets about artistic groups of the Ukrainian-Polish border area. Booklets will have a circulation of 300 items. Each booklet will be made in three language versions (Polish, Ukrainian and English). It will contain information about art groups of the Ukrainian-Polish border areas mainly from the regions of Ruda-Huta and Hirka Polonka village.
9. Holding a seminar on agro-tourism development. Seminar will be held by the Ukrainian partner with the participation of Ukrainian and Polish trainers (for 20 people). In the seminar will participate 20 people: 10 – Ukrainian participants, 10 – Polish participants. For all participants meals are provided (1 lunch, 2 coffee breaks during the seminar). For Polish participants meals (1 dinner) and accommodation (1 day) are provided, because they will arrive the night before to start the seminar in the morning next day. All participants will be provided handouts (programme, pens, notepads), prepared by Lead Partner;
10.1 Holding the Cross-border Festival “Rainbow of Cultural Traditions and Arts of the Ukrainian-Polish Border” in Poland (Stage I). The Cross-Border Festival "Rainbow of cultural traditions and arts of the Ukrainian-Polish border" will be organized in two stages, in turn, on each side of the micro-project partners. The first stage (first event) will be organized in Poland. During the Festival performances of the members of art folklore assemblies and events of traditional folk sacred ceremonies will take place. Additionally, master- classes with authentic handicrafts for the Ukrainian-Polish border area will be conducted. During this event presentation and dissemination of common 3-languages handbook will take place. In this event 50 participants from Poland and 50 from Ukraine will take part. For 50 Ukrainian participants accommodation (1 day) and board are provided. During Festivals promotional materials (notepads, pens, T-shirts and bags) will be distributed among event’s participants. This event will lead to strengthening of the cross-border contacts between the institutions from both Partners regions.
10.2 Holding the Cross-border Festival “Rainbow of Cultural Traditions and Arts of the Ukrainian-Polish Border” in Ukraine (Stage II). The Cross-Border Festival "Rainbow of cultural traditions and arts of the Ukrainian-Polish border" will be organized in two stages, in turn, on each side of the micro-project partners. The second stage (second event) will be organized in Ukraine. During the Festival performances of the members of art folklore assemblies and events of traditional folk sacred ceremonies will take place. Additionally, master-classes with authentic handicrafts for the Ukrainian-Polish border area will be conducted. During this event presentation and dissemination of common 3-languages handbook will take place. . In this event 50 participants from Poland and 50 from Ukraine will take part.
