Mr. Townley was honored and recognized by the Board of Trustees for his generous contribution of $20,000 to the Education Foundation. Business Professionals of America National Competitors Impressively, 50 Midway High School BPA students competed at the state conference, and 17 students advanced to the Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference in Boston to compete against the best across the nation. The Board honored Alex Waitley, Corrie Cubos, Hannah Wang, Nathan Allen, Christiana Kaul, Kiara Lozano, Kassidy Buth, Matt Shillinglaw, and Jordan Turner for competing at the national level. Bilingual Exception Report - Each school district which has an enrollment of 20 or more limited English proficient students in any language classification in the same grade level shall offer a bilingual education program for the limited English proficient students in prekindergarten through the elementary grades who speak that language. Midway ISD reached having an enrollment of more than 20 LEP students who speak Spanish in multiple grade levels during the 2010-2011 school year and thus began the implementation of the Bilingual program beginning this year for all students who speak Spanish in grades PK and Kindergarten.
