Siana King Country Las Vegas, NV SIANA KING Siana King is a Las Vegas based Country Artist with a Razor Sharp Rock-N-Roll Edge! Siana began amazing audiences throughout Las Vegas, NV at just 16 years old; and through the past several years she’s performed at some of Sin City’s top venues, including: The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino; The Hard Rock Café; The Riviera Hotel & Casino; The Orleans; Palms Resort; and The World Famous Fremont Street Experience! In May 2016, Siana performed at the renowned Johnny Cash Museum in Nashville, TN as a special guest vocalist for a corporate event held by the Toyota corporation. Siana King’s first studio single, GIRLS RULE (written by Country songwriting legends Buck Moore, Harvey McNalley and Leonard Ahlstrom) was released in late 2015. Girls Rule is currently in rotation on numerous internet and terrestrial radio programs throughout the world. Brown, Advisor Between 1984 and 1991, heavy metal became one of the most publicly popular and commercially successful rock music subgenres. The focus of this dissertation is to explore the following research questions: How did the subculture of heavy metal music between 1984 and 1991 evolve and what meanings can be derived from this ongoing process? How did the contextual circumstances surrounding heavy metal music during this period impact the performative choices exhibited by artists, and from a position of retrospection, what lasting significance does this particular era of heavy metal merit today? A textual analysis of metal- related materials fostered the development of themes relating to the selective choices made and performances enacted by metal artists. These themes were then considered in terms of gender, sexuality, race, and age constructions as well as the ongoing negotiations of the metal artist within multiple performative realms. Occurring at the juncture of art and commerce, heavy metal music is a purposeful construction. Metal musicians made performative choices for serving particular aims, be it fame, wealth, or art. These same individuals worked within a greater system of influence. Metal bands were the contracted employees of record labels whose own corporate aims needed to be recognized.

Heavy-metal in the 1970s was Blue Oyster Cult, Aerosmith, Kiss, AC/DC, Journey, Boston, Rush, and it was the most theatrical and brutal of rock genres. It was not easy to reconcile this genre with the anti-heroic ethos of the punk era. It could have seemed almost impossible to revive that genre, that was slowly dying, in an era that valued the exact opposite of machoism, and that was producing a louder and noisier genre, hardcore. Instead, heavy metal began its renaissance in the same years of the new wave, capitalizing on the same phenomenon of independent labels. Credit goes largely to a British contingent of bands, that realized how they could launch a "new wave of British heavy metal" during the new wave of rock music. Motorhead (1), formed by ex-Hawkwind bassist Ian "Lemmy" Kilminster, were the natural bridge between heavy metal, Stooges/MC5 and punk-rock. They played demonic, relentless rock'n'roll at supersonic speed: Iron Horse (1977), Metropolis (1979), Bomber (1979), Jailbait (1980), Iron Fist (1982), etc.

I lost 6 pounds in a week, and I wasn't actually trying to lose weight. They convey genuine strain and regret about a lost love, alongside a serene acoustic guitar. Sammy Helen! I knew that Collen started in a band named girl with Phil Lewis who went on the L. Def Leppard On Through the Night. Still, the band received a good amount of grief for releasing something so polished in a time when alternative bands were beginning to invade the airwaves. I also didn't appreciate that he blames this evil on religion, greed, blah blah blah, all while admitting his profession is part of the problem.

BIO L.A. Guns got their start on Los Angeles' Sunset Strip. The band was formed in 1986 and signed with Polygram Records in 1987, recording their first album that summer. This first album, titled "L.A. Guns", went on to sell over 1,000,000 copies giving the band its first platinum award. Tours with AC/DC, Iron Maiden and Def Leppard followed. A compilation of the videos made from this first album also earned the band a gold video award. L.A. Guns went into the studio to record their second album, "Cocked and Loaded", in the spring of 1989. It was a hit right away with the release of "Rip and Tear" as the first single and video. "Never Enough" and "The Ballad of Jayne" followed, pushing the album toward platinum status once again. The video compilation from this album earned the band its second gold video award. A successful world tour followed. The band's third album, "Hollywood Vampires", was recorded in the fall of 1990. With the release of "Kiss My Love Goodbye" as the first single and video, and another successful world tour, the album gave L.A. Guns its third platinum in a row. The band went back into the studio in 1994 to start work on their next album "Vicious Circle". It was released in early 1995 and was followed by another successful world tour. Between 1996 and 1999, the band's members branched out recording and working on outside projects. In late 1999, L.A. Guns went into the studio to record a greatest hits package titled "Black Beauties" that also included five new songs written for the album.

Biography: HARDCO RE SUPERSTAR The History Many bands play it safe – HARDCORE SUPERSTAR doesn’t. The Swedish four piece had the balls to marry two styles that grew up hating each other. We’re talking about Thrash Metal and Sleaze Rock. The former hard, aggressive and ugly, the latter catchy, melodic and decadent. So what should they name this bastard child ? --We play ‘Street Metal’ offers drummer Magnus ”Adde” Andreasson. Thrash and sleaze both come from the gutter. They wear big sneakers, they are a bit stupid and they both read pulp fiction. I can’t believe that nobody brought them together before. Early days HARDCORE SUPERSTAR did just that with the band’s fourth and eponymous album, released in 2005. But the quartet didn’t arrive overnight, rather paying its dues during a rocky but rewarding ride. The roots can be traced back to the late eighties, when Adde was talked into playing the drums by older friend and neighbour Jocke Berg. --I played the guitar and we tried our best with songs such as ‘Paranoid’ and King Diamond’s ‘Shrine’, Jocke remembers. The young teenagers, hailing from a small town just outside of Gothenburg, ended up in different bands, who in turn chose different routes from their Iron Maiden inspired beginnings. Adde opted for heavier stuff in Dorian Gray whereas the Jocke fronted Glamoury Foxx went in a glammier direction. Incidentally, Jocke took up singing thanks to one Thomas Silver, fellow guitar slinger in Glamoury Foxx. Eventually Jocke and Adde ended up together again, this time in ‘Link’, a classic rock oriented outfit with grunge leanings.
