Admire the beauty of Southern Queensland’s countryside and, at knock-off time, saddle up to the bar and meet the locals for a yarn or two. As you stroll around each pub, with a beer or wine in hand, be sure to check out its unique memorabilia and character.

• 3 Nights Pub-Stay Accommodation: o Condamine Bell Hotel o Francis Hotel, Thallon o Railway Hotel, Allora • 3 Breakfasts • Home Pick-Ups where practical • Viewing of Silo Art at Thallon & Yelarbon • Visit to the ANZAC Memorial Museum at Meandarra • Visit at least 10 Country Pubs - perhaps a few more, if we need to stop for comfort stops or to quench our parched throats from too much talking & laughter! • The great warm & fuzzy feeling you’ll get, knowing you’re supporting rural communities and Queensland’s post-COVID tourism. Does NOT include:

• Meals, other than the 3 breakfasts mentioned above. All lunches will be eaten at pubs and, to save time, your meal-of-choice will be pre-ordered each morning. All dinners will be ordered off the menu each evening. This way, you can eat as little or as much as you choose. • Drinks. Make sure to budget for your alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic drinks. Trevor will certainly enjoy a drink or three with us each evening, so make sure you shout him one too. Better still, get him to shout you one!

Day 1: Thursday 11 March

This morning we hit the road early for our unique escape to some of the many pubs of Southern Queensland. First stop will be Kilcoy, where you can choose to buy a coffee if you like. Then onto our lunch destination – the Cooyar Hotel, known as “Australia's Friendliest Bar” with their website quoting “Cooyar Hotel has to be one of the friendliest bars in Australia, with the legendary locals all happy to help, chat, recite poetry or just give you their take on life.” Sounds good to us! We’ll drop into the Warra Hotel for a beer and a quick yarn. Trevor might even take us on a quick detour to see the country we used to farm. We’ll then continue to the teeny tiny town of Condamine - population 384 - where we’ll have drinks, dinner, yarns & laughter, and a good night’s sleep at the Condamine Bell Hotel. Day 2: Friday 12 March (B)

After a leisurely pub breakky, we’ll drive 52km south to the town of Meandarra – population 266 – where Sib & Trevor spent the first 4 years of their marriage. Today we’re there to visit the ANZAC Memorial Museum, a majestic museum reflecting on the ANZACs and all those who have served. The collection comprises of local veteran's personal items, various large vehicles, and specialised exhibitions.

Driving another 27km north-west, we’ll stop for lunch at the Glenmorgan Bottle Tree Inn – population 86. Continuing another 220km south-west, we’ll drop into the Nindigully Pub, Queensland’s oldest hotel, located in its original condition and position on the banks of the . ‘The Gully’ attracts thousands of locals and travellers every year for a cold beer and a chef fresh prepared meal – the kilogram T-bones are legendary. It’s also the home of the famous big “Road Train Burger” which feeds at least 4 people. Nindigully is the smallest town we visit, with a population of only 9 people. Driving another 33km south, we arrive at Thallon – population 257 – where we’ll have drinks, dinner, more yarns & laughter, and a great night’s sleep at the Thallon Pub, also known as the Francis Hotel.

After another leisurely pub breakky, this morning we get to be amazed by the spectacular mural on Thallon's giant grain silos. Look out for William the giant Northern Hairy Nosed Wombat and learn about Thallon's unique connection to this critically endangered species. Driving 170km east, we stop for lunch at the Victoria Hotel in – population 6,355 – which sits on the border of New South Wales and Queensland. Continuing another 204km north-west, we’ll reach today’s destination in Allora – population 1,223 – where we’ll have our final evening of drinks, dinner, yarns & laughter, and another great night’s sleep at the Railway Hotel.

Day 4: Sunday 14 March: Homeward Bound (B)

After our final leisurely pub breakky, we drive 29km north to the tiny town of Nobby – population 563 – where we’ll visit the historic Rudd’s Pub, where Steele Rudd sat while writing his famous Australian "Dad & Dave" stories. While in Nobby, we can visit the memorial of the iconic Sister Elizabeth Kenny who pioneered the treatment of infantile paralysis.

Our final pub for this adventure is the Exchange Hotel Toogoolawah – population 1,279 – where we will enjoy our final lunch together.

After lunch we make our way back to the Sunny Coast where, of course, we will take you home.
