Our city is already renowned for hosng many compeons not only in wildwater canoeing, but also in many other water sports. Many athletes who had the opportunity to visit Banja Luka and feel the charm of compengon the Vrbas River have beauful memories of our city. I hope that you too will be among them. I hope that you will enjoy riding on our well prepared canoe course and geng to know our tradional hospitality, which is very famous among all our visitors, be they athletes, arsts or tourists. In the past few years, wildwater canoeing has been in expansionin this regionand I am confident that the 2019 ICF Juniors & U23 Wildwater Canoeing World Championships, at which all the aracons of the sport will be presented, will contribute to popularizaon and promoon of it, as well as ohe potenal and natural beaues of the Vrbas and Banjaluka. I am convinced that both sides will be mutually sasfied and savor the joys of invested efforts, which will result in extraordinary outcome. ГРАД БАЊА ЛУКА CITY OF BANJA LUKA 2019 ICF WILDWATER CANOEING JUNIORS & U23 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS BANJA LUKA - VRBAS 2019 Basic informaons Kayak Canoe Club “Vrbas” from Banjaluka has been a host for a long me and a successful organizer of the Naonal and Internaonal canoe compeons in Slalom and Wildwater canoeing disciplines, of which we mark: - 2011 ECA SLALOM JUNIORS & U23 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS - 2012 ICF WILDWATER CANOEING WORLD CUP FINAL - 2013 ICF WILDWATER CANOEING WORLD CUP 1 & 2 - 2014 ECA WILDWATER CANOEING JUNIORS EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS - 2015 ECA WILDWATER CANOEING EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS - 2016 ICF WILDWATER CANOEING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS - 2018 ICF WILDWATER CANOEING WORLD CUP 1 & 2 We have a natural course in a canyon of the Vrbas river which is equipped with the most modern lighng for night races and plaorms which can accept about 1500 spectators and there is our plan to widen our plaorm and increase capacies o f sing places on the course. There is a regulaon hydropowerplant, 15 kilometers far, with which we have a great co-operaon and this way an excellent control of water level on the compeon course. The canoe course is by the Road M16 Banjaluka-Jajce and it is about 12 kilometers far from Banjaluka. In the period of the compeons, with the co-operaon of the city authories, it is closed and it will be used the round road Banjaluka-Cadjavica-Mrkonjic Grad. Vrbas river consists of two canyons, a canyon Tijesno (5 km) on which is a canoe course and a canyon Podmilacje (8 km). Internaonal qualificaon of the difficulty of the flowing in the canyon Tijesno is III and IV degree of wildwater and depending on a water level. Water level is from 25-120 m3 and in the spring even to 500m3 . Water temperature in the summer is above 17 C and air temperature is above 30 C degrees. Wildwater canoeing sprint course length is flexible and it can be used up to 800 m according to needs and it is part of the wildwater canoeing classic course 5 kilometers long. It is approachable with many ways and steps and it is secured with two electrical gates for dragging out in the case of accidents and injures. There is an ambulance close to the course, about 2 kilometers far. It is situated in the north-west part of the Republic, in the ravine, on the transit between Dinarske Mountains in the south and Panonska lowland in the north. The main flowing is Vrbas River which flows through the city center. The city has a medium connental climate, with the prevailing influence of Panonic space. Average annual temperature is 10,5 C◦, medium January is -0,3 C ◦, while in July it is 20,1 C ◦. Average annual amount of precipita ons for Banjaluka is 1044; 58 mm (liters per m2). Average number of precipitated days is 157.5. Average number of snowy days is about 50. In Banjaluka, north and north-east and northwest-west winds prevail. Proporonal high frequency of silence shows that in Banjaluka area during the year about 40 % of the days are without wind. In Croatian watercourses, three members of the genus Barbus are found, B. balcanicus, B. barbus and B. plebejus, each occupying a specific ecological niche. This study examined cytochrome b (cyt b), a common genetic marker used to describe the structure and origin of fish populations to perform a phylogenetic reconstruction of the Danube barbel. Two methods of phylogenetic inference were used: maximum parsimony (MP) and maximum likelihood (ML), which yielded well supported trees of similar topology. The Median joining network (MJ) was generated and corroborated to show the divergence of three lineages of Barbus balcanicus on the Balkan Peninsula: Croatian, Serbian and Macedonian lineages that separated at the beginning of the Pleistocene.

Bosnia and Herzegovina The delegation was deployed in many localities within the Republic of Srpska, and Bulgaria participated in preparatory meetings in Banja Luka, Prijedor, Sarajevo, Mostar and Croatia Nevesinje. On Election Day, Giorgi Masalkini - Congress Rapporteur - led a team which Cyprus observed elections in polling stations in Banja Luka and the surrounding area. A second Czech Republic team observed polling in the region east of Sarajevo (Pale, Sokolac, Rogatica). Denmark Estonia Finland The turn-out for these elections was notably low, despite the campaigning of some France candidates. Owen Masters, Head of the Mission, said that “the elections observed were Georgia generally in accordance with Council of Europe and international standards”. He added Germany that “it was encouraging to see the younger generation taking on electoral Greece responsibilities”. Early on Election Day, some voters had difficulties locating their specific Hungary voting station, but it should be noted that measures were soon put in place to address this Iceland problem.
