KINGS STORYLINES: Multi-Point Magic The Kings are 13-1-1 this season when any player registers a multi-point game.

Bringing the Body The Kings lead the league in hits with 825, 35 more than the second place Flyers.

Carter Leading the Way Jeff Carter currently leads the Kings in scoring with 22 points (12-10=22). He scored the game-winning goal in four games during the Kings season-long five-game winning streak earlier this year. According to Elias Sports Bureau he is the first player in franchise history to score four game-winning goals in a five-game span. His six game-winning goals lead the NHL. He also stepped up in Anze Kopitar’s absence, posting six points (4-2=6) in the five games that Kopitar missed, including a three-game goal streak, Nov. 17-20 (tied for the longest by a King this season). He also scored the game-winning goal in those three games (first King to do score three consecutive game-winning goals since Anze Kopitar did it from Dec. 2-Dec. 9, 2010; courtesy ESB).

Budaj Backstopping the Kings Peter Budaj has won 13 games thus far this season, tied for sixth in the league. His last season with 13-or-more wins came in 2010-11 with the Colorado Avalanche (15-21-4 in 45 GP). Budaj played in 23 consecutive games from Oct. 18 through Dec. 4, the longest stretch of consecutive games played in his career. He is also tied for seventh in the league with two shutouts.
