KIMBERLEY KCOOLE Kimberley Coole hasC spent the last 10 years travelling the world, taking thousands of photographs and making her living as a top travel photographer. She has been featured in numerous international publications and has worked as a photographer for Lonely Planet, as well as for various tourism boards and airlines. In her most life changing experience to date, she’s recently become a mum to six month old Oliver and talked to us about how her work and passion has changed, and how there are some surprising similarities too!

We caught up with him to fi nd out more about his life of adventure. ”

HAVE YOU ALWAYS BEEN THE ADVENTUROUS TYPE? I have always been a keen outdoorsman, be that running up a hill, playing sport or organising an adventure I am privileged to have visited three times on expedition. WHEN DID YOU FIRST BEGIN DREAMING OF CLIMBING EVEREST? WHAT DREW YOU TO IT? “ When I was 25 I read a book about climbing the “7 Summits”, the highest mountains on each continent and I thought that would be a fantastic lifetime challenge for me. At that time only three people on the planet had achieved it and I set out to join them.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CLIMB IN 1996. I got invited to join an international team of climbers going to attempt Mt Everest from the Nepalese side in the Spring of 1996.
