To this end, I ask you to consider making the India mission part of your Lenten almsgiving. In fact it is a Catholic tradition for people to donate as alms from whatever money they would have spent on what they’ve given up for Lent. If you’d like to drop a check in the collection, just make it out to St. Ann with “India” in the memo line. You can donate on our website as well (look for “Missionaries of the Poor”). Also, all the money that is put in the poor boxes in the narthex during Lent will be given to the India mission. I’d very much like to make another donation to them in the Easter Season to help them with their needs. I am grateful to all of you who prayed outside the abortion mill this past Friday as part of the 40 Days for Life Campaign. It’s important that we witness to the value of every human life and pray for an end to abortion in this way. Our presence helps to deter women who are considering abortion, and our prayers help to save lives. As always, we will have our monthly Pro-Life Mass this coming Saturday, 25 March 2017, at 9 a.m. Please join us! As many of you know, March 19 is traditionally celebrated as the Solemnity of St. Joseph. However, because today falls on a Sunday, his feast is moved to tomorrow, March 20. Because this feast is a solemnity, Catholics are dispensed from their Lenten fasting for the day. The same is true for Saturday, March 25, when we celebrate the Solemnity of the Annunciation. In the love of Christ, Fr. Reid Fr.
