    THE HISTORY 2020-21 UNLV WOMEN’S BASKETBALL 1 LADY REBEL HISTORY UNLV has a long and impressive history of success over its 42 seasons of competition in women’s basketball. The Lady Rebels hold an all-time record of 807-542, a winning percentage of .578, and were the 61st team in NCAA history to reach 800 wins thanks to a 67-60 victory at Air Force on Jan. 14, 2020. UNLV has recorded eight trips to the NCAA Tournament and has received bids to 11 WNIT Tournaments, including a championship runner-up finish in 2003-04. The Lady Rebels began their first season in 1974-75, as Barbara Quinn coached the team to an 8-7 record in their inaugural campaign. Dan Ayala then took over at the helm of the squad, and to this day remains one of the most successful coaches in school history, leading the Lady Rebels to an amazing 109-23 record over his five seasons, including a 23-2 mark in 1977-78 and a 24-2 mark in 1978-79.
