Citizens of El Reno,

We have had some questions and comments concerning our family business and we want to be transparent about the facts. Jensen Farms is NOT expanding its feed yard to 10,000 head as has been speculated. Jensen Farms is trying to be proactive in utilizing modern technologies to be good neighbors. We are relocating part of our feed yard on our property. Our feed yard has been part of the community at its present location since 1935. New and better techniques have been developed for controlling odor and taking care of the cattle. In order to implement and utilize modern technology we plan to complete building new pens and then take old pens out and repurpose the land. In order to do this, the City of El Reno has requested that we bring our zoning up to current codes of I-3 on a portion of our property. We are currently surrounded by I-3 on the North and to the West. The Oklahoma State Department of Agriculture has reviewed and approved our plans. If you have any questions feel free to call us.

Sincerely,

Steve Jensen Peter Jensen 405-659-9198 405-620-0551 El Reno Tribune Sunday, November 10, 2019 NEWS ◆ 7A CV Art Guild to feature Lienau at meeting

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. ~ Proverbs 3:5-6 Greetings, It is my honor to endorse Matt White for Mayor of El Reno.

I think Matt’s greatest quality as Mayor is his dedication to El Reno's citizens and his constant accessibility. I am around Matt almost every day and his phone rings constantly. He takes calls from citizens, morning to night, and he stops what he is doing and listens to each caller. He then tries to help them with their situation.

Matt is an expert on all things El Reno, from knowing the infrastructure to the city budget and long range planning.

I hear people say “It’s time for change.” WHY? Things have never been better for our town.

Matt White has never stopped changing things since he was fi rst elected. That's why he was elected, to make changes. He's still making changes, all for the better.

El Reno has the lowest water and sewer rates in the county. The golf course is paid for. The air park has no debt. Our healthcare is making major leaps forward, all without a tax increase.

The vast majority of those opposed to Matt White have always been against Matt. Even when Matt has helped them out, they are still against him. They are the same people who created the problems that Matt has helped correct. The only difference with this election is they have raised more than $30,000 to unseat our mayor. Why $30,000 to win a job that pays no salary? Is it about progress or is it something else?

I have seen no plan from any candidate on what they can or will do better than what our current Mayor has done and is doing. Some candidates say they will listen and work with people. Some candidates point to their character and their faith in God. Well, Matt White has character. He proves it every day. And he defi nitely has faith in God.

It's obvious in how he works like crazy to help those who aren't considered the most popular or who aren't as well off as some others. He is the best Mayor in Oklahoma because he's a mayor for all of the people. Even those who don't like him.

CHANGE?

Matt White has proven he's willing to make changes for El Reno for the better. Help keep those changes going.

Help re-Elect Matt White!

~ Sincerely, Brad Baker

VOTE STEVE JENSEN NOV. 12TH FOR EL RENO MAYOR

My fellow El Reno residents,

My name is Steve Jensen and I am running to be your next Mayor. I am running because I believe the Mayor should serve all the people. I am not running for a title, but rather to give back to you and your family and the city I love so much.

I am not a politician, but rather I am your neighbor. I am concerned that many of our citizens have voiced their concerns, but for whatever reason, their voice has not been heard. I can promise you, if I am given the opportunity, to serve you and your family as mayor, your voice will be heard!

My plan is a simple one, listen to the concerns of our citizens and organize the creative ideas and the passion to move our city forward. We need to spend the time and money to develop a long-term business plan that would set up a well-balanced environment for a stable and growth-oriented city. El Reno is going to grow and it’s our responsibility to direct that growth in the right direction. You deserve better roads, more business options, more healthcare options and more transparency. You deserve a mayor who will continue to support our public education, because after 20 years on the school board, we know it is vital both today and for our future. I am a man of action. You deserve a mayor who is ready to work on day one.

In our first 30 days, I will launch a text alert program for El Reno. This opt in community platform will be vital in improving our overall communication and transparency. The residents of El Reno deserve to know exactly what's going on and what issues are being discussed. This text alert program will alert our citizens about potholes, road closures, water alerts and even severe weather that threatens our city. Our residents deserve more access to information and you will have that under a Jensen administration.

Over the last ten plus years, we have virtually eliminated Citizen input from the Authorities in our community. The original idea behind the Rec, Airport and the Hospital authorities was to have appointed Citizens of the city, that are knowledgeable in these areas, become involved in recommendations and assisting the city leaders in making decisions regarding the operations of these entities. I would work to reestablish this imperative partnership. I want citizen’s voices to be heard and their ideas and recommendations to a driving force in the growth and development of El Reno.

One of the unique areas of El Reno is our downtown area and we have an obligation to pursue what the possibilities are to preservation & development of this area. We have all witnessed downtown Oklahoma City and the successes they’ve experienced. Our downtown is cen- tral to and the heart of our community. Many small cities in Oklahoma have experienced tourism growth by saving their historical areas and El Reno should pursue ours.

I will work tirelessly to bring in new industry and opportunities to El Reno and will work to bring back businesses and alliances that have left our city. I will continue to work with the community to improve our schools and to help raise our property values. I will work with the city to enforce and improve our city ordinances, to create a cleaner more maintained community. I will put the interests of the community first! I will encourage citizen input and give the office of the Mayor back to the citizens of El Reno. I will support and encourage the events and assets that make El Reno a great place to live, including Burger Day, Smoke on the Water, Small Town Weekend, Community Theatre, Music Shows, and our Golf Course (keeping it affordable & available to everyone) and many more.

I am running because I believe our best is yet to come. If elected, I promise to listen to you. Your voice matters and again, it deserves to be heard. I also promise to give you my very best, not because this great city is my home, but rather it's our home. Together we can make our city the very best it can be.

On behalf of my family, I can't thank you enough for your prayers and all your words of support and encouragement. They have meant so much to all of us.

Lastly, I would like to ask you for something very special, your vote. I don't ask for it lightly, knowing that our freedom isn't free. I know I am the underdog, but together we can win this election.

God Bless you and may God continue to bless El Reno and our great country!

Sincerely,

Steve Jensen VOTE NOV. 12 Your Voice Matters! Paid for by Friends of Steve Jensen. Re-Elect MATT WHITE FOR MAYOR VOTE NOVEMBER 12

I’m proud to be Mayor of El Reno. I’m proud to be your Mayor.

I know my chief opponent’s campaign has tried to imply that I don’t listen to people. That’s just not true. The platform he is running on of ‘giving the offi ce of mayor back to the people’ is condescending and insulting to the people of El Reno who have trusted me with the offi ce of mayor four times.

You, the people of El Reno, have voted me into offi ce four times. So, what they are really saying is the “wrong people” have voted me into offi ce four times. They don’t want your voice to be heard. Just like it was years ago.

In the last 12 years we’ve seen El Reno change and grow more than ever before. I want to continue working with you to keep all the positive things happening.

I bring experience and knowledge to the table that none of my opponents can offer. I know the city laws, how it’s structured, the budget and the plans that are being developed by all of us to build an even brighter future.

My chief opponent in this race hasn’t requested a copy of the city budget or any fi nancial information from the City of El Reno. And yet, he says he has a plan. How can you formulate a plan without knowing the budget? Someone who served on the school board for 20 years should know the importance of doing homework.

What he’s doing is making political promises with no idea of how to fulfi ll those promises. He’s worked hard for the past two months making political promises.

For the past 12 years I’ve worked hard along with you to help transform promises into results. Results for El Reno. You can see results. We can see the results.

Put me back on the job and I’ll continue to work hard for you and with you. All of you.

Sincerely, Matt White
