L The Emergency Management S ervice R isk & R ecovery activation ‘’EMS N-028 : Flood E delineation and damage assessment, France’’ has been requested by the French authorities 7 in order to map flooding, infer maximum flooding and flood w ater depths, and assess the Préfontaines damages of the floods occurred over the S eine R iver located upstream to P aris, and its Nargis tributary the Loing R iver, from to Montargis.

2 2 The present map shows the land use / land cover classes affected by the flood event of end 3 3

5 5 May - beginning June 2016 within the maximum flood extent over the area of S ouppes-sur- Treilles-en-Gâtinais Loing (AO I13). S tatistics on the area (in hectare) of the land use / land cover classes per water depths are given in the associated report. The estimated thematic accuracy of the land use / land cover is 94%, based on internal validation procedures and visual interpretation of recogniz able items on very high resolution optical imagery. The estimated geometric accuracy of this product is 0.5 m, from native positional accuracy of the back ground satellite image. Maximum flood extent and water depth information are simulated products. Therefore, their quality depends on the accuracy of the input data. S ome errors may subsist due to the presence of outliers. No damage on river bank s and dik es has been identified, thus this layer is not displayed in this map.
