WCSC is very pleased to continue our support of the Summer Musical. The Summer Musical provides the public with an outstanding Kids entertainment event and our students with an incredible learning experience. The WCSC Board of School First Trustees and administration highly value the arts and the real life skills and experiences they afford our students. WCSC continues to provide students with a wide range of opportunities, in which they can learn, grow and become successful, productive adults. “Kids First” is more than a slogan in Warrick County, it is our core belief. Mr. Mark Neff 4 Reaching Out to Warrick County’s Educational Imagination Founded and incorporated in 1992, the Warrick Public Education Foundation operates as a 501(c)(3) philanthropic organization to enhance education by supporting imaginative programs and projects. It is a non-profit broadly-based partnership in education established to encourage, promote and assist educational excellence in the Warrick County School Corporation. The Warrick Public Education Foundation has three major programs active in Warrick County. These innovative programs need support by corporate sponsors and individual donations. The more we can build our funds, the more programs we can sponsor in the future. The Warrick Public Education Foundation's three major programs are: These grants provide funding for innovative and creative projects that cannot be funded through the available school budget. Grants are awarded each semester to teachers in the Warrick Co. School Corporation. Since the inception of the Education Grants in 1992, the WPEF has awarded over $300,000 in grants to Warrick County teachers. Funds are provided to secondary school principals to be used in assisting students without the financial resources to pursue the possibility of further educational opportunities. This program provides funding for items such as SAT, ACT or GED test fees and college application fees. This for-credit Summer Musical Program is the flagship program of the public education foundation. Engaging 100+ students each summer for 19 consecutive summers, this professional quality production provides a creative outlet for the talented students in the tri-state area. Since its inception in 1997, the Summer Musical Program has involved 900+ local students. The Summer Musical Program increases the publics’ awareness of the philanthropic work of the WPEF and provides a family friendly event that entertains and educates 3,000 area residents each summer. 5 Thank You Sponsors! Concessions: Concessions will be available prior to the show, at intermission, and after the show. Restroom Facilities: Restrooms are located in the hallway on the east side of the auditorium. Photography: We prohibit the use of photography during the performance. Guests may take photos before and after the performance. Video Recorders: Due to copyright laws, video recording (video recorders, cell phone videos) are prohibited during performances. Electronic Devices: Please turn off all cell phones and electronic devices. If an emergency requires you use your phone, please exit the auditorium before doing so.
