The new spe- cies differs from all other species of the genus with an unique, drawing of elytra and pronotum. The new species is somewhat similar to D. serapavginae Barševskis, 2014, from which it differs and with a different pattern of pronotum and elytra: first transverse band of a new species near stria with area without scales ( in D. serpavginae this spot is fully scaled), as well as second and third spots have different shapes. Etymology. The name of species is de- rived from the abbreviation of Univer- sity of Mindanao – UM. In last years thanks to the support of University President Guillermo Torres, Jr., this uni- versity is becoming one of the most im- portant Coleoptera research centers in the Philippines. Eight new species of the genus Doliops Waterhouse, 1841 (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) are described and illustrated: D. ageometrica sp. n., D. balalaikinsi sp. n., D. daugavpilsi sp. n., D. huruki sp. n., D. kivlenieceae sp. n., D. jirouxi sp. n., D. serapavginae sp. n., D. tamutisi sp. n. New faunistic data for 23 species are given. Two new taxonomic changes are proposed: Doliops confluens Kriesche, 1928 stat. nov. (from D. siargaoensis confluens Kriesche, 1928), D. geometrica Waterhouse, 1841 = D. geometrica conjuncta Kriesche, 1928 syn. nov. An updated check-list of the genus Doliops Waterh. is proposed. The new species Metapocyrtus (Dolichocephalocyrtus) zamboanganus sp. nov. is sympatric with and believed to have a mimetic relation with Pachyrhynchus sp., Polycatus jageri, and Doliops basilana zamboangana. Keywords: Dolichocephalocyrtus, mimicry, new species, taxonomy, weevil Introduction Zamboanga is a region in western Mindanao politically belonging to Region IX or Zamboanga Peninsula and a distinct biogeographic region together with the island of Basilan (Vallejo, 2011; Dickerson et al., 1928). Mindanao is believed to have formed from accretion or integration of several islands which contributes to its high biodiversity and unique species composition (Hall, 1998; Heaney et al.,1998).
