We look forward to hosting you on Wednesday, July 12 for the McCormick Championship Pro-Am. Please review this document as it contains important information regarding registration for the day and events leading up to the McCormick Championship Pro-Am. PRO-AM FORMAT PRO-AM PACKAGE The Pro-Am scoring format will be the net best ball of the team (four One McCormick Championship Pro-Am position includes the following: amateurs and one professional) utilizing handicaps for amateurs • One playing position with a PGA TOUR Champions professional on with a maximum handicap of 27 for each contestant. Please note, Wednesday, July 12. PAR IS YOUR PARTNER. Meaning, the maximum net score for each • One Pro-Am Contestant Credential allowing access to Pro-Am Hospitality hole will be par. If you are unable to help your team on any given hole, inside the Clubhouse, the Locker Room, Practice Range/Green, and Inside please pick up your ball in order to keep play moving. Because the Constellation SENIOR PLAYERS Championship is a Caves Valley Golf Club PGA TOUR Champions sanctioned event, championship staff must verify the 2910 Blendon Rd given handicap/index. This will be accomplished one of the following ways: Owings Mills, MD 21117 • Checking the GHIN number or a website index calculator • Confirming a handicap with the golf club designated on the entry form Morning Competition • Confirming with the golf professional who signs the form 5:30am –9:00am Registration – Caves Valley Clubhouse • Providing the championship staff with copies of scorecards from the 6:00am –10:00am Breakfast – Caves Valley Clubhouse last six (6) rounds played 6:00am Practice Range and Putting Green Open 7:00am – 9:00am Tee Times* We must be able to verify a handicap by the stated procedures in order 10:30am – 2:30pm Lunch and Awards Reception for you to compete with a full handicap. The Pro-Am Pairings Party invitation allows you 4:30pm –7:30pm Heavy hors d’oeuvres and Awards Reception and a guest to attend. Dress for the party is resort casual. Heavy hors – Caves Valley Clubhouse d’oeuvres and a full open bar will be provided. *Denotes approximate tee times – subject to change At the Pairings Party, you will be notified of your Wednesday tee time and will be paired with a professional. Since this is a live pairing, we (Final tee times will be revealed Tuesday evening at the pairings party) are unable to provide tee times before this date. If you do not attend the Pairings Party, the pairings will be emailed to all participants after PRO-AM AWARDS the party. The tight contest went extra holes in three of the five matches before the Blue Devils won their seventh national championship and their first in match play. With the score tied at two through 19 holes, Miranda Wang sealed the victory for Duke, facing off against Letizia Bagnoli on their 20th hole, a par five No. 2 on the course, and two-putting for the title. Ana Belac’s 5&3 win over Vanessa Knecht was the first score in for Duke, with the four remaining matches being tied up soon after. Emilia Migliaccio put the first point on the board for Wake Forest, defeating Gina Kim, 1-up through 18. Duke regained the lead, up 2-1, as Jaravee Boonchant edged last year’s medalist Jennifer Kupcho, making par on their 19th hole. Wake Forest’s Siyun Liu evened up the score up for the Demon Deacons as she birdied their 20th hole, defeating Virginia Elena Carta, who has now won an individual (2016) and team championship. “You know, I couldn't feel more proud than I do right now,” said Duke head coach Dan Brooks.

Trenham 2010 to 2016 2010 In November Leo DeGisi was sworn in for a second three-year term as a PGA of America director. 2011 The Section celebrated its 90 th birthday and Rich Steinmetz won the Section Championship for a third time. 2012 Stu Ingraham won the Section Championship, Sr. Championship, Player-of-the-Year, points and scoring average. 2013 Harry Hammond won the PGA Bill Strausbaugh Award, Mark Sheftic was on the PGA Cup Team for a 3rd time. 2014 Lou Guzzi-teaching, Rick Kline-merchandising and Scott Nye-merchandising were honored with national awards. 2015 The Philadelphia Cricket Club hosted the PGA Professional National Championship. 2016 In November Tom Carpus was elevated to chairman of the PGA of America rules committee. 2010 A new decade began with the country in a deep recession and the business of golf was in just as deep. There were more golf courses than there were golfers. Definitely, there were too many golf professionals. Some golf courses were closing which was the best for the business in general but difficult for the employees. One golf writer stated that for the first time more golfers were on waiting lists to get out of clubs in the United States that there were waiting to get into clubs. In January the PGA made some changes to the apprentice program. One of those was that all applicants to the apprentice program would have to complete three online courses and pass a knowledge course before being al- lowed to register in the program.
