LR Series - Long Range, Low Cost RF Data Module NEW The LR Series provides a 5-10 times range improvement over previous discrete and modular solutions and establishes a new benchmark for range performance and cost effectiveness within our product line. Housed in tiny SMD package that is footprint compatible with the popular LC Series, the LR Series interfaces to virtually any data source, making it ideal for the wireless transfer of serial data, control, or command information. Packaged in a compact reflow-compatible SMD package, the modules combine a highly optimized RF stage with a parallel encoder/decoder. The transmitter module accepts up to eight parallel inputs, allowing direct connection of switches, contacts, or microprocessor control lines. The receiver provides eight logic-level outputs for connection of devices under control, such as relays, motors, indicators, or microprocessor lines. Ten tri-state address lines are also provided to allow for security and the creation of 59,049 unique transmitter/receiver relationships. HP-3 Series - High-Performance Synthesized Multi-Channel Analog/Digital RF Module NEW The HP-3 RF transmitter and receiver modules are the third generation of the popular HP Series and offer complete compatibility and numerous enhancements over previous generations. These enhancements include up to 100 channels, extended temperature range, increased receiver sensitivity, smaller size, lower cost and new SMD package styles. BROADBAND AMPLIFIERS

The BBA Series is a family of low-cost high-performance broadband RF amplifiers. The modules are ideally suited to a wide range of amplification and buffering applications including extending the range of Linx’s own RF modules (when legally appro- priate). Housed in a compact SMD package, the hybrid amps are prematched to 50Ω source and load impedances and require no external RF components. The modules utilize a GaHBT gain stage which yields high gain and IP3, excellent flatness and low noise.

BBA-322-A - High-Gain RF Amplifier The BBA-322-A is optimized for high gain below its compression point of +11.2dBm. This, along with a relatively low noise figure, make it well suited for weak signal amplification.

BBA-519-A - High-Power RF Amplifier The BBA-519-A is optimized for higher power output applications. While its small signal gain is less than the 322 its compression point is in excess of +18dBm allowing amplification in excess of 50mW. This makes the 519 well suited to transmitter output amplification, driver and final PA stages and general purpose amplification at higher power levels than the BBA- 322-A.

Keyfob Evaluation Basic System The EVAL-***-KEY# system is an ideal starting point to evaluate the performance of Linx’s popular keyfob transmitters and begin integration into your own product. The FCC pre-certified keyfobs allow OEM’s to rapidly incorporate wireless functions in a wide variety of remote control and command applications. The kit contains two keyfob transmitters, along with a pre-assembled demonstration/development board based on the new KH Series receiver/decoder module. An antenna, battery, extra KH receiver/decoder and full documentation are also provided. The system may be ordered with keyfobs in 1-5 button configurations. Ant Skins Antenna Covers These low-cost sleeves give the external ruggedness and cosmetic appeal of expensive whip antennas but are hollow to cover the low-cost internal element of a user’s choosing, such as a wire, rod, or flexible shaft. MHW Series Antenna The MHW Series antennas provide a clever solution to the unique needs of difficult environments, such as a vehicle. Designed to mount directly onto interior surfaces, such as window glass or a rear-view mirror, these compact antennas are easily concealed, minimizing potential theft. Several frequency ranges are presently available to cover a wide variety of licensed and non-licensed applications. The antennas are well suited to low-power applications but are capable of operation at power levels to 10 watts. The base is covered with a thin protective layer to protect finished surfaces, such as those on automobiles. Completing the system is a variety of interchangeable elements covering frequencies from 824MHz to 2.4GHz. The base is supplied with a 13.1' coax cable terminated in a TNC or RP-SMA connector. Linx attempts to simplify any step in the RF implementation process that may cause a customer delay or frustration. While Linx does not participate in the actual design of a customer’s product or perform contract RF design services, Linx does offer a wide range of support services designed to assist a customer in achieving legality and to maximize the performance of our components. FCC Prescreen Services The most difficult obstacle to overcome when bringing an RF-based product to market, aside from the design itself, is the approval process. To ensure a customer the best opportunity to pass FCC testing, Linx offers unique low-cost pre-compliance testing services. Using our state-of-the-art Hewlett Packard EMC compliancy test system, a product is screened just as it will be during actual FCC testing. In addition to this screen, the actual design is evaluated by a Linx engineer to ensure that it is both legal and technically optimized. A prescreen report is then generated summarizing our findings and recommendations. This report, along with additional documentation, will further ease your preparations for final approval testing.

Antenna Design Assistance Linx offers a complete variety of standard antenna styles that will meet the needs of most user’s applications. Occasionally a design will call for a custom antenna to meet physical or cosmetic constraints. Since the design of application-specific antennas calls for experience and equipment outside the scope of many of our customers, Linx offers antenna design services. These services range from assistance in evaluation of a customer’s antenna configuration to actual antenna design. One of our most popular design specialties is small printed antennas, which are often incorporated directly on a PCB to reduce cost and eliminate a visible antenna.

Implementation Assistance Linx does not undertake OEM design projects in most instances; however, our engineers have broad experience in almost every area of design and manufacturing.
