2019 U.S. Championships Tickets & Information The 2019 GEICO U.S. Figure Skating Championships are coming to the Detroit Skating Club! From Jan. 18-22, the Detroit Skating Club (DSC) will host the juvenile, novice and intermediate competitions and practices for the 2019 GEICO U.S. Figure Skating Championships. Below are a few FAQs to help you better understand the U.S. Championships and have the best possible experience attending competitions! Please click here for a full schedule of events. WHAT IS THE U.S. CHAMPIONSHIPS? Figure skating fans from across the country and around the world will descend upon Detroit this January to witness the brilliance, power and breathtaking beauty of a live figure skating competition. The U.S. Figure Skating Championships is the perfect event for figure skating fanatics and casual skating fans to come together in celebrating this incredible sport and cheer on Team USA figure skaters. Held since 1914, the U.S. Championships is the nation’s most prestigious figure skating event in the United Sates. U.S. champions will be crowned in ladies, men’s, pairs and ice dance at the senior, junior, novice, intermediate and juvenile levels. The event serves as the final qualifying competition to determine the U.S. World Figure Skating Team each year and the U.S. Olympic Team every four years. The reigning U.S. Champions are 2018 Olympic Team members Bradie Tennell, Nathan Chen, Alexa Scimeca-Knierim and Chris Knierim, and Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue. Past champions include skating legends Meryl Davis and Charlie White, Michelle Kwan, Kristi Yamaguchi, and Scott Hamilton. HOW DO I GET TICKETS? The only way to watch competition at DSC is by purchasing a General Admission Day Pass each day or by purchasing an All-Session Ticket Package. Read below for more information. General Admission Day Pass General Admission Day Pass tickets for competition at DSC will be available for purchase starting on January 17th. This day pass includes general admission seating for all competition sessions during that day. Single-session day passes and multi-day passes are not available. Adult day pass ticket: $30 Seniors (65+) and children 6 -12 years of age: $15 Children 5 and under: Free All-Session Ticket Package The All-Session Ticket Package includes an assigned seat to all junior and senior (championship) level competitions and practice sessions at Little Caesars Arena, plus the 2019 Skating Spectacular on Sunday, Jan. 27. In addition, the all-session ticket will include general admission access to all juvenile, intermediate and novice practice sessions and competitions at DSC. Due to limited seating, general admission will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis until capacity has been reached.
